You're the one for me.
(A/N) One-shot. A while ago, I put up a poll on my profile for what one-shot I should write, and Harry Potter won! So, here's my Harry Potter one-shot! I hope you like it!
DISCLAIMER: I do not own Harry Potter.
Harry sighed to himself. It had been a long day at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and he was now looking for some time to just relax. As he entered the Gryffindor common room, he was suddenly face to face with a sullen-looking red-head. Ronald Weasly did NOT look happy.
"What's up?" Harry asked wearily.
"Hermione." Was Ron's blunt answer. Harry raised an eyebrow.
"What about her?"
"I can't find her anywhere!" Harry sighed at the other boy's protectiveness.
Recently, Ron had found himself caring more and more about the bushy-haired girl's whereabouts. Whenever he saw her with another boy, even if it was Harry, he felt a strange feeling arise inside him, and had to turn away. So when he couldn't find Hermione anywhere, his worry rose steadily.
"Well," Harry started, "I actually just saw her in the library, if you really are so worried about her, go and check on her." Ron nodded and thanked Harry, before rushing out of the common room to go and find Hermione.
Harry sat down tiredly. Then he frowned. "Why does Ron care so much about Hermione?" He thought aloud. He sat there thinking for a while, his brain was particularly slow at putting the pieces together, but eventually he did.
"And then there was the time when he fainted because he thought Hermione had…Oh my gosh." He suddenly stood up, his eyes wide. "Ron…and Hermione…he, HUH?!"
Ron burst into the library quietly. Wait…can you even burst into a room quietly? Uh…well, he went into the library quietly. He spotted Seamus near one of the shelves and went up to him. "Hey Seamus, do you know where Hermione is?" He asked.
"Oh hey Ron! Yeah, she's by the herbology section."
"Thanks." Ron replied. He took a deep breath and began a slow walk to the section Hermione was in.
"This is it Ron." He thought to himself. "I'm finally gonna tell her that…that I love her." His palms were sweaty and he could feel the thump of his loud heartbeat. "Okay, it's simple. All I have to say is-"
"I love you Hermione." Ron froze, a look of shock on his face. 'I didn't say that!' Was the first thought that ran through his head, and the second was, 'Then who did?' He inhaled sharply and looked round the shelves. What he saw broke his heart. It was Draco. Draco Malfoy, the Slytherin King, sitting awkwardly beside a blushing, but smiling, Hermione.
"I got you a present for our anniversary!" The platinum haired boy said. Ron felt his breath catch in his throat.
"Oh Draco! You didn't have to! It's only been one month!"
"A month?" Ron whispered to himself. He didn't notice the tears sliding down his cheeks. He stood and watched whilst Draco brought out a large bouquet of red and white roses. He stood and watched as Hermione embraced him in a long hug. He stood and watched as Draco pulled her to him again. He stood, watched and cried as they had a long, passionate kiss. He didn't register leaving the library. The next thing he knew, he was sitting in a small alcove somewhere near the great hall. He didn't know how long he sat there. He didn't CARE how long he sat there. He just wanted to be left alone. And he was.
