It was a stormy, dark night, when I was out working. Nobody on the streets of this god forsaken town. It was around midnight, and I was making some...Deliveries.
*Knock...Knock...*
Quiet breathing was heard from the other side of the walls. Slowly... Softly... It couldnt be heard from anyone else. The only way to possibly hear this deathly quiet breathing is if you were genetically mutated, As I was many years ago. Soft and chilling groans could start to be heard. It was waking to the sound of the knocks I was making on the walls. I start humming a soft tune, one that would surely anger it. Walking around the small, closed area I heard it start to move, It made a low, growling noise.
It has Awaken.
*10 Years Earlier*
Snow fell from the gray, Cloudy and Desolate sky, Softly flowing North with the wind. School was canceled for the roads were ridiculously icy, making it difficult to go anywhere. We lived in Siberia, Russia. My mother had the day off as well, so she decided we could to ice skating on the frozen pond located outside of the town. Luckily my mom had a lot of skill driving in conditions like these, or we wouldn't have made it through a lot of stuff. Once we arrived, I had noticed no one else was there but is. What I didn't know was what was about to happen and that my whole life would change that day.
I was eight at the time, oblivious to anything that wasn't my mother, the pond, and myself. She wrapped me up in my warmest coat and slid my ice skates on for me, tying them, then walking me to the frozen pond just a few meters in front of us. She had her skates on as well, for ive never ice skated before, so she took my hand and led me around the ice. Once I got a hang of it, I let go of my mothers hands, wobbling at first, but ending up skating around myself, I was proud, and so was mom. I was naturally a fast learner, making me one of the best students in my school, along with how much i provide for my school.
I was generally a quiet child, normally putting words into actions, and only spoke when I absolutely had to. Some people found it strange, but once they knew me and my personality, they didn't think so anymore, and most actually quite liked me. Aside from school, I didn't do much, just come straight home after, and my mom took me to do things whenever she had a day off, bringing us back to the current scene.
"I'm doing it momma! Look at me, I'm doing it!" I said enthusiastically, with a large grin on my face. She smiled back and skated along side me, I had loved my mother, she was truly amazing. Raising me on her own, since papa left five years ago, I truly looked up to and adored this woman.
We continued to skate and have fun together, but suddenly I had heard footsteps coming from all around us, being surrounded by men, all in Russian Military suits. My mother told me not to be scared and brought be back, taking my skates off, and putting my shoes back on.
"Alexander, I need you to go with these men, Honey. I promise they wont hurt you. Mom had to go somewhere, and cant take you with me." She pleaded with me as tears had formed in both of our eye's, I didn't want to leave my mother, and just then one man grabbed my arm gently. I started to cry and screams, making it difficult for everyone. Suddenly I was picked up by the man, and I saw the sadness in my mother's eyes.
The man started walking away with me in his arms, and the last thing I saw that day was a crimson red color, splatter across the pure, white snow.
