That's what Luffy felt for Law.
The man was like sun in the sky.
Blazing, important, but impossible to really look at, impossible to understand.
Luffy enjoyed his company in strange ways, because even though the presence of the older pirate was confusing for him he found enjoyment in the time they spent together.
Law was special.
Luffy could always see through the fluffy hat wearing male's façade of indifference. Looking into his shell little by little he saw in the dark corner hidden turtle that was real Law.
It was hard being near the man and ignoring his body reacting, but it was worth to witness those rare moments of unguarded personality.
Those hot embers that burned his skin when they accidentally touched was nothing in comparison how light his chest felt when he got Law smile.
