Winner

"How did this happen?" Axel asked himself as he stared up at the white, white ceiling of his room. He let a sigh, only a few people where left in the castle now, four? maybe five people were left. It was so quiet now. Nothing to be heard but a ring of silence. No noise, no Xion...no Roxas.

Roxas.

Axel suddenly felt a large pain in his chest. He never meant to hurt him, or lie to him. He never meant to give reasons for him not to trust him either. Axel didn't care what anyone said. Roxas made him feel like he had a heart. Roxas had a heart. It wasn't all just empty promises made. It wasn't all just fake laughter. Conversations meant something. The feeling was real. Axel thought of the last thing Roxas said to him before he left.

No one would miss me...

Axel grunted. He wanted to punch the something. As much as Roxas made him feel very happy, he did an equally good job at getting him very upset. silly, he thought. I'd miss you terribly. Everything was so messed up now, he really did wonder how things got this horrible. It wouldn't be very long though, before someone would be sent off to fetch Roxas, and drag him back to the castle. Only a matter of time. Axel would probably be the one to have to do it.

The red head let out another sigh. His heart ached, and he couldn't sleep. He sat up from his bed, letting himself gaze around the small white, white room before he caught a glimpse of something he did not notice before. There, on his night table was a small, white envelope. Axel raised a brow and stood up from his bed, picking it up and walking to the window that held a view of Kingdom Hearts just outside. Axel looked on he back and front of the small thing to see if a name was left behind. None. Black, gloved fingers gently peeled open the licked seal. Axel, for a very long time, stared at the envelope's content. For a very long time he glared down at the object he was holding in his hand. Never has Axel stared down at something so small, so minuscule with such anger and abandonment. Never has anything left such a bitter taste in is mouth then this.

Axel didn't feel like a winner...

Axel watched from the shadows as Roxas fought with the Dusk, defeating them easily as though he never forgot how to. Green eyes stared at him intently behind a black, shrouded hood; the boy was not aware of his observer. "You're not going to remember me, right?" Axel asked himself with a tad of sadness in his voice, that's what the boss told him at least Life could not be any more cruel then now. Axel felt his heart, or at least what should be his heart pound in his chest, feeling tight and heavy. He squeezed the object in hand for reassurance, for hope, for any type of relief. Axel stared at the ground, and tightly clenched his gloved hand even tighter, angry, before he let out a small, frustrated sigh. There was a long silence at the back of his mind, but it was suddenly forced out when a small, amused grunt escaped and a sad smile formed on his lips. A sad but reassuring smile.

"If you think you've seen the last of me, Roxas...you're wrong." he said with a little more confidence then before. Axel looked up ad saw that his blond friend had defeated all the Dusks, standing there, looking around cautiously and alarmed, panting heavily with the Keyblade gripped firmly in both hands. "You'll always be a Winner, Roxas." Axel mumbled softly, before he snapped the ice-cream stick in two, and threw the broken pieces over his shoulder. He started to clap, and began advancing closer towards the boy, which sent blue, blue eyes his way.

"Roxas, alright! fight, fight, fight!"
