Fiona was feeling down as she walked through the forest. She liked being who she was but sometimes it hurt being different especially when it came to other people's views. But she heard somebody on Earth crying. It was a teenage girl. She was slender bodied, had black hair. She had a symbol cane in her left hand. "She seems upset. Maybe I… could help her. I hope my husband won't be upset." She thought as she went through a portal that was hidden in a gnarled tree. She came out on the other side into a neighbourhood in a city. It was Winter and nearly Christmas. The streets were covered in snow but not many people were around. She saw the girl sitting on a porch. "Doesn't she have any friends?" Fiona asked in thought as she came towards the house. "Hello." She said gently to the girl. The girl then sat up to look and gasped in delight at her. "OMG! It's Fiona! I knew you… existed. What're you doing here?" she asked excitedly. Fiona smiled warmly at the girl's reaction.
"I saw you were upset and wanted to help. What's your name?" she replied. "My name is Entra. I guess you saw what those losers around here did to me. They pick on me because I can't see in the dark and lost all my night vision, can't see sides and I'm going blind. Plus I look like a monster." She explained sadly. Fiona understood. "That's why you were using the cane! That isn't very fair. Don't you have any friends?" she said. Entra nodded. "No they're all afraid of me. The other kids scare them by making up mean things about me so they run away when they see me when all I want to do is play." She answered. Fiona felt anger build up within her but kept it in check. She then saw Entra smile at a Christmas tree. "You like Christmas, don't you? You're probably getting a lot of gifts for the holiday season." Fiona told her. Entra nodded. "Yes but two very special things I want. I would like to be brave like you and Shrek but also to have a friend so I won't be lonely. When I see the other kids with their friends, it makes me sad." she told her smiling.
But later when Fiona tried to open the portal to go back to Duloc, she found she couldn't. This worried her greatly. "What's wrong?" Entra asked her. She'd just finished dinner. "I can't open the portal to get back home! What am I gonna do? I don't wanna imagine being stuck here without my family." she answered worriedly. "Don't worry I'm sure you'll get back. Try again." Entra replied calmly. Fiona agreed and tried several times but it still didn't work. Fiona fell to the ground exhausted and upset. Entra then carried her into her house and into her room. She put Fiona on the bed gently. There was a bruise on her head but it wasn't bad.
In Duloc, somebody had closed the portal with ice. It was Charming. "Have fun in the mortal world Fiona. I know I will destroying your family and watching your husband squirm in agony." he thought as he walked towards the swamp...
