Title: Beyond the Mysterious Beyond

Just a little drabble that I wrote years ago back in 2008 for a creative writing assignment. All characters are copyrighted to Don Bluth; I own nothing but this small story based off when the five characters first discover the glorious Great Valley. Title originated from one of the songs in The Land Before Time VII: The Stone of Cold Fire, "Beyond the Mysterious Beyond," and it is a reference to the group entering the Valley from there in the Original film. I own neither the magnificent Don Bluth Original or the aforementioned sequel or the song title, this is just for fun.

As Littlefoot watched in utter silence, the light swept on, uncovering a river flowing in the midst of a land filled with green – ferns, treestars, and food in plenty. Finally, the light lifted to show the place in its entirety. Mountains sheltered the vale as tree-stars shone in every far-away tree. The light burst through the valley, illuminating the whole of the place. Littlefoot walked slowly to the edge of the high place.

"The Great Valley," he spoke in wonderment, his mouth open in joyful acceptance. He gazed at the wondrous home his mother had spoken of so long ago. The slender thread of the river cut right through the land as trees laden with tree-stars stood tall. A large cloud floated overhead, but Littlefoot was too excited to notice.

"Cera, Spike, Ducky, Petrie, over here!" He exclaimed. His friends hearkened to his call, making their way through the same peaks; through the tunnel. Cera, who was first in line, leaped off the wall as she ran to find her friend, trailed after by stolid Spike with Ducky riding on his back.

Cera skidded to a hasty halt next to the Long-Neck as Petrie landed on his head, while Spike and Ducky came to a stop beside the Three-Horn.

"Littlefoot, you found it! Yep, yep, yep!" Ducky chirped from her perch on Spike's back.

"We did it. We did it together!" Littlefoot replied as they gazed into the beautiful valley.
