Chapter 1: The Begining of it All
Harry was spending the summer after his 5th year at the Weasley's. Ron's room was being rebuilt, because parts of his ceiling had started falling down, so Harry and Ron were staying in Fred and George's room. It started out as a normal summer day. Fred, Ron, and Harry were degnoming the garden, and Mrs. Weasley was bringing George to the doctor. He had broken his leg while trying out the twin's newest invention: flying pops. A better name for them would be falling pops. George had flown 20 feet into the air, and then suddenly fallen.
Harry was whipping a gnome around, over his head when it bit him. Harry dropped it, and howled out in pain. Ron heard Harry from the other side of the garden and ran over to Harry to see what was happening. "What's wrong?" asked Ron.
"Nothing, a gnome bit me, that's all," Harry said, embarrassed that he made such a big scene over a gnome.
"A gnome bit you? Most gnomes don't have teeth though," Fred said, walking over.
"Only poisonous gnomes have teeth, are you sure the gnome bit you?" Ron asked.
"Yes I'm sure! Is it something to worry about? What is going to happen to me?" Harry said, worried.
"That," said Fred, as he pointed to Harry's hand. It was turning yellow. "It will stay yellow for a while, and then turn green. After that, it will turn blue, and when it turns purple it falls off. Do you think you can fly your broom? We need to get you to the doctor fast and we have no other way."
"Yes, I think I can ride," Harry said, but the words were lost on Fred for he was already getting brooms from the shed.
"Here," Fred said, handing Harry and Ron brooms. They sped off to the doctor. Harry was starting to get very worried, because his hand was beginning to turn a greenish color. By the time they were outside the wizard doctor office, Harry's hand was a navy blue color.
"Watch out, Harry Potter coming through," Fred yelled at the people in the doctor's office as they made their way to the receptionist. Fred explained what happened, and Harry was swept away to the nearest doctor's room. Ron and Fred went to the waiting room. There, they saw Mrs. Weasley.
"What are you boys doing here?" she asked.
"Harry got bit with a gnome," Ron said.
"Oh dear," was her response.
