Astral peered out of window. Rain poured from the sky and in the silence of Yuma's bedroom, the distinct ping of each drop hitting the roof echoed. Of course this didn't bother Yuma, who was sound asleep, muttering words. Astral sighed, he was pretty sure Angel wasn't coming tonight, not in this weather. He was about to retire to the Ou's Key when he saw the girl standing out on the road. He quickly flew through the window out to his friend.

Angel was wearing a thing coat that provided no protection from the pounding rain. Her clothes were plastered to her body and she was drenched to the bone. She cracked a small smile, "Sorry I'm late."

Astral returned the smile, shaking his head, "You should go home. You're soaked."

Angel striated up, "I couldn't break our tradition. I'm fine, really-Ah Choo!" Angel sneezed part way through her sentence.

The action surprised Astral for a moment until he remembered Yuma had done the same when he had gotten sick before. "Angel, you're going to become sick if you don't go home." He said with a bit sterner voice. Then, the spirit notice that the girl had begun to tremble. "Angel, why are you shaking?" Astral asked with concern.

"I'm shivering. You do it when you're cold." Angel answered, hugging herself, rubbing her arms. Astral frowned, it was obvious that she was starting to become sick and that she was getting cold. Without thinking, Astral floated forward and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into a hug. Angel was surprised by the act of kindness. To her surprise, Astral was warm. She smiled, nuzzling into his chest. After a few moments she felt her hands again, but she also notice that the rain was no longer pelting against her.

She looked up, expecting the clouds to have cleared, but it was still dark overhead and the rain continued to fall. Then she noticed the glow around her. Astral'a aura had surrounded her, shielding her from the rain.

"How do you feel?" Astral asked.

Angel smiled, "Better. Thank you, Astral." And with a swift motion she kissed the spirit on the cheek.

Astral's eyes widened for a moment and he froze. If was possible for him to blush, he would have for a split second. Angel giggled at the spirit's reaction. "Come on." And the two departed on their way towards Angel's house. Astral stayed closed so his aura would protect her from the freezing rain.

As they left the sight of Yuma's house, the face that had been looking out the window returned to his hammock. Yuma chuckled under his breath. He had notice Angel's liking to Astral, and there were a few time he could tell Astral felt the same, like just now. He had asked Astral before if he had feelings for her, and Astral had denied it, but it was easy to see that the two were in love.

Author's Note: I got the inspiration for this listening to 'Sparks Fly' by Taylor Swift. In the lyrics it says, "Meet me in the pouring rain, kiss me on the sidewalk, take away the pain". And this came to mind so I had to get it out. Hope you enjoy it! Reviews=Love

I'll try and get the next chapter of Light of the Photon up soon!
