Title: I've got the World on a String, (At Least I used to.)
Summary: Now, as the lights flash and fade away, Lavender Brown only has regrets.
Pairings: Lavender/Seamus, Mentions of Hermione/Ron and one sided Lavender/Ron
So this is just some random thing that came up into my head really. I know in the book it isn't specified if Lavender died or not but in the movie they made it seem like she did so this is just how I think Lavender's final moments might have been like.

Life is a game where there are neither winners nor losers.
[When the game is over, the king and the pawn go back into the same box.]

Lavender Brown had everything, once upon a time.
.
.
.
She had the perfect blonde curls, the sparkling blue eyes and the pretty face. She had beauty; she had been proud of it too. How ironic that now, should they find her they will barely recognize that pretty face of hers beneath the cuts and scratches and blood.
(The price she's paying now for her former vanity?)

.
.
Once, she had dreams of falling in love and of a big wedding and of a family. Dreams of Seamus Finnegan; how her heart palpitated when he would hold her hand. Dreams of teaching Divination when she was older. But then, her crystal balls never warned of this had they?
.
.
.
She had once been too proud to tell a boy she loved him because she stupidly believed she'd have years to. Once, she had been so in love with life that she had never once stopped to think about the shortness of it all.

.
Now, as the lights flash and fade away, Lavender Brown only has regrets of missed opportunities' and wasted time. Lost chances with a sandy haired boy who said he loved her in an irish accent. Days wasted trying to win a boy who would never belong to her. Because it was RonandHermione and HermioneandRon and it always had been, ever since the day he rescued her from a mountain troll. Lavender Brown came back to fight in a battle she would never get to see the end of because once upon a time when she had had everything, she had been greedy and wanted what wasn't hers to try to take.
(Pretty, silly girl, you should have stuck to the script.)
She came back to be brave like Hermione so that she could deserve Seamus like Hermione deserved Ron.

Once, Lavender Brown had everything.
She had a family that cared and best friends and dreams and life and a boy who loved her.
Once she held the world in her palm with a whole future waiting to be had.
Once upon a time, she had all the time in the world.
Now she has moments.
