Hiro let out a scream, he was spiraling away from Baymax. He couldn't feel his legs, he was separated from the robot due to the large chunk of debris slamming into them, Baymax had covered him, but he had been caught in the way as well. Hiro looked down at his legs, the clothing was torn, exposing his bloody limbs, the thick liquid was dribbling down his legs. He couldn't feel them.
Why couldn't he feel his legs?
What was happening?! He wondered, it hurt.
Hiro was hyperventilating, was he paralyzed or were they numb from shock? Was that possible? He felt a burning pain in his back, it hurt. It really hurt. The blood was floating much like it does in water, what was this place exactly? Krei had said it was like space, you couldn't breathe in space could you?
It was cold, that's for sure. Maybe he was numb from the intense temperature. He didn't know.
What was even going on? Where's Baymax?
Hiro pried open his eyes, when did they shut? He located Baymax who desperately was holding onto the pod whilst trying to get to him, "Hiro." he spoke, blinking. Most of the robot's armor was missing, exposing his torso and his right arm. The armor barely clinging onto his left making up the rocket fist. Hiro tried to get to Baymax, he finally gripped the pod and tuned out Baymax who was listing his injuries.
"Baymax, not now. We gotta get back before the portal closes!" he yelled, stifling a sob. It hurt...
Baymax was silent, "There is still a way I can get the both of you to safety," Baymax spoke, locking his fist into the end of the pod. Hiro held onto the pod tightly, "I cannot deactivate until you say you are satisfied with your care,"
"Nonono," Hiro shook his head, "W-wait, what about you?"
"You are my patient."
"Ba-b-Baymax! Yo-"
"Your health is my only concern,"
Hiro was about to cry, he raised his fist and shook his head, "Nono! Stop no! I'm – we can still –!"
"Are you satisfied with your care?" Baymax asked.
"No! There's gotta be another way! I-I'm not gonna leave you here! I'll think of something!" he was getting desperate.
"There is no time. Are you satisfied with your care?"
"Please! No... I can't lose you too..."
"Hiro," he began to lower, "I will always be with you."
Hiro looked at the robot sadly, his lip quivering, he shut his eyes throwing his arms around Baymax, his back jerked from crying, he sniffled. Baymax wrapped the one arm around Hiro and shut his eyes. Hiro soon pulled away and gazed at Baymax.
"I'm satisfied with my care..." he choked out. Baymax began to lower himself again, charing up the rocket fist. Hiro furrowed his eyebrows, clenching his jaw, he held onto the pod tightly as he was shot towards the exit of the portal. Baymax launched his fist. Hiro gulped, he swore he saw Tadashi, someone had to help... right bro?
Baymax was floating backwards, into the oblivion of debris. Hiro was sent through, back into the real world.
Everyone had taken cover behind a rock, it was hell. The wind blew around the other's forcefully, they wondered if the genius and the bot would be alright... the pod was sent out of the portal before it exploded. The rocket fist slowly shut, meeting it's destination.
"Hiro!" Wasabi called, the team began to rush towards him, "Yeah! They made it!" Fred yelled excitedly.
Hiro looked up his vision a bit hazy, he slid down the pod, collapsing onto the ground. Right...his legs...
"Baymax...?" Wasabi questioned, looking at the genius. Said boy looked at him sadly and then looked away, he was gone. The others looked down, Hiro grunted as he reached his hand up to peek inside the pod. She was alive, she'll be okay... maybe he would be too.
