Hi everyone, I know it's a little late for Christmas but I hope you will enjoy! For reference this is a few years after the Avengers movie.

Disclaimer: I don't own the Avengers or the song Winter Snow; they belong to Marvel and Chris Tomlin/Audrey Assad respectively.

The soft sounds of a piano drifted from the music room and filled the whole floor of Stark tower, breaking the otherwise stillness of the late evening. The tune on the instrument was soon joined by a beautiful voice that Steve identified as belonging to Natasha; the only logical conclusion since Pepper was out with Tony and Jane was two floors down with Thor. He stopped outside the down to listen to the words.

Could've come like a mighty storm

with all the strength of a hurricane

You could've come like a forest fire

with the power of heaven in your flame

But you came like a winter snow

quiet and soft and slow

Falling from the sky in the night

to the earth below

Steve recognized the song; he and Tasha had heard it on the Christmas station coming back from shopping the night before (yes, willingly). Steve had been surprised when Tasha began to hum along with various carols that came over the radio and for some reason; apparently, this one had caught her attention.

Could've swept in like a tidal wave

or an ocean to ravish our hearts

You could have come through like a roaring flood

to wipe away the things we've scarred

Stepping into the room, yet unnoticed, the captain allowed himself the pleasure of just listening to the song. It was talking about how Jesus came humbly to earth for all mankind, not powerfully, rather softly as a servant, but effectively none- the- less. Natasha had explained to him that this is what won her to Christ, the soft, patient wooing of a God who could've rashly demanded her affection. Steve smiled at the supposed paradox. Realizing that she had reached a part of the song, which required a male voice, Steve joined in. Their voices melded together perfectly as the finished out the song with smiles on both their faces.

No, your voice wasn't in a bush burning

No, your voice wasn't in a rushing wind

It was still, it was small, it was hidden

But you came like a winter snow

quiet and soft and slow

Falling from the sky in the night

to the earth below
