A black taxi zoomed through the wet streets of London carrying a very anxious John Watson to the hospital. Before the car had even stopped outside the hospital John had thrown a handful of bills at the driver and ran inside the hospital. John knew the hospital like the back of his hand and knew exactly where he was going. The elevator doors opened on John's floor where Sherlock was sitting in the waiting room with his hands under his chin.

"Sherlock! What's happening? You're text was so vague. Is everything alright?" John asked running up to Sherlock.

"Molly just went into labour." Sherlock said not moving.

"WHAT?!" John cried. "How can you say that so calmly?"

"It's life John. You of all people should know this." Sherlock replied. "Babies come into the world all the time."

"Our baby doesn't happen all the time!" John said sitting next to Sherlock. "Are we not allowed to be in there?"

"Molly said she will send someone when she's ready for us." Sherlock replied. "I would get comfortable. I think we're in for a long night."

About an hour later John and Sherlock were allowed to join Molly in her room. It wasn't much more interesting in there then it was in the waiting room, if anything it was more stressful. Every few minutes Molly would be yelling at them or claiming the baby was coming. It got so bad that Sherlock and John had to take turns leaving the room so it wouldn't look suspicious. It was around 3am when Sherlock came back from his 3rd cafeteria run that hour.

"Here." Sherlock muttered handing John another coffee.

"I think the coffee has lost its effect." John muttered taking the coffee.

"Could this baby take any longer?" Sherlock said flopping in the chair next to John.

"Oh, I'm SO sorry for taking up your time delivering YOUR CHILD!." Molly yelled.

"I accept your apology." Sherlock replied.

"She was being sarcastic." John muttered.

"YES I WAS BEING SARCASTIC YOU IGNORANT KNOBHEAD." Molly yelled. "Oh my God."

"Molly, what is it?" John asked, noticing Molly's sudden change in tone.

"I think it's time." Molly replied. "I think the baby is really coming."

"Doctor!" Sherlock cried.

Minutes later there were doctors and nurses in the room ready to deliver. Sherlock and John were standing on each side of Molly holding her hands.

"Okay Molly, it's time to push." The doctor said from Molly's feet. "Are you ready?"

"Yes." Molly gasped.

"Okay push!"

"Ahhh!" Molly cried as she pushed, her body covered in sweat.

"Push Molly! Push!" John said from her side."You can do this!"

"Almost here Molly!" The doctor cried. "One more good push!"

"You've got this Molly." Sherlock said.

With a great gasp and a loud cry Molly gave one final push and then there was crying. Molly collapsed back on her bed panting and covered in sweat.

"It's a girl." The doctor said as he wrapped the baby up in a blanket. "Would you like to hold her?"

John took his baby daughter in his arms with tears in his eyes. Sherlock walked behind John and placed his hands on John's shoulder's and looked down at his daughter.

"She's beautiful." John whispered. "Absolutely beautiful."

"Have you decided on a name?" The doctor asked.

"Charlotte Molly Watson-Holmes." Sherlock said still looking at his daughter. "After John's mother, and our wonderful surrogate."

"John, Sherlock." Molly said, quiet tears rolling down her cheeks. "I'm honoured."

"Welcome to the world Charlotte." John said.
