Authors Note: Just a short peice I had been wanting to write. Please tell me what you think. Is it too out of character for these two? I may write more who knows. I just love this pairing and wish more was written about them.
I set this in the 'House of M' story arc.
She woke up to him staring at her; they had been married about a year and were living in a small apartment given to them by their employers.
"What?" she asked.
"Nothin' Darlin', I just like watching you sleep."
"How long have you been watching me?"
"I don't know maybe an hour."
"An hour?"
She glanced at the alarm clock on the nightstand its red numbers the only light in the dark room, save for the slivers of moonlight coming in through the poorly closed blinds, it read 2:45 a.m.
"You need to get some rest, we have to be at headquarters at 7:00" She reminded him.
"Ya know you talk in your sleep?" He said totally ignoring her last statement.
"Oh. Really? What sort of things do I say?" Curious as to what secrets her subconscious may have revealed.
"Its part of the reason I woke up, it sounded like you were having a good dream, it got me thinking"
"About?"
"Kids." He stated.
"Kids?"
"Yeah, I heard you whispering. You said you wanted a baby, my baby. Is that what you really want Raven? "
"Yes. Logan. I want that more than anything. But…"
"But what?"
"We can't, not now. Things are too crazy. We have important business to take care of."
"Like what? Saving the world? We've been there and done that. We've even been on the other side. Don't you think we deserve a break? Some time to raise a family and get some enjoyment out of the longs lives we've lived?"
"You're serious?"
"Yep."
"What about Fury?"
"I'll handle him. He knows he owes me. More than he cares to admit."
