A One-shot about Sora and Kairi

Sora was finally back home. After all of the things he Riku and Kairi went through it was just nice to be at peace. Since Riku was off doing some Keyblade Master stuff for Yen Sid and Kairi had the day off they both decided to hang out on the island. They were walking along the coast when Sora was deep in thought
"Hey Sora" She said trying to get his attention
He said nothing
"Sora" she repeated getting annoyed
Still nothing, she was getting fed up with the silent treatment so she used drastic measures. She summoned her Keyblade and after giving the boy a few more seconds to at least notice she hit him over the head.
"Ow" he screamed rubbing his head "what was that for"
"Ignoring me, now do you mind telling me what you're thinking so hard about?"
"I wasn't thinking"
"Sora, even though that's usually true you're obviously thinking about something so say it"
"It's just that I'm worried"
"About what"
"Everything, thinking back about all the things we went through watching the island be destroyed fighting heartless and nobodies stopping the Organization and after all that we still have to fight a war"
"I understand why you're worried about the war but this time I can help you and Riku fight" she said confidently
"That's just it more than anyone else I'm worried about you"
"Sora I can take care of myself I'm training with Yen Sid and"
"What if it isn't enough" Sora shouted cutting her off.
"What do you mean?"
"Me and Riku have been fighting for a long time, now we have to fight a guy ten times stronger than anyone we ever fought before and you're just starting out
"I'll be careful there is no need to worry" she said putting her hand on his face
"It's not just that" Sora said looking down "I'm worried about losing you again"
"What"
"Kairi the first time I lost you, you were all I could think about and the second time when you were captured by Axel I was wreck. If I lost you again I don't know if I could take it" the last part made tears well up in his eyes
"You won't because I know that you can protect us all me and the other princesses"
"And what if I can't what if"
"Shh" she gently placed a finger on his lips "Do you remember when we were kids and we watched all those shooting stars.
"Yeah" Sora said recalling the memory
"You promised that if one came toward us you would protect me remember"
"Yeah I did didn't I" Sora said smiling a bit
"So if you can do that then I'm sure you can protect me and the others. After all you are my brave knight"
"And I will protect you my princess"
