She was a criminal, but that couldn't stop his feelings for her. His job was to stop her and people like her. Of course he fell in love with her.
He hadn't told his team because, well duh, she was a villain. Oh, but not just any villain. No he just had to fall for Jinx, leader of the Hive FIVE.
She might have liked him at one point, but that was Stone, not Cyborg. Maybe all he had to do was show a little more of Stone… No. Stone was a criminal. Cyborg couldn't betray his team like that… again. Well, technically, that time he was just doing it so Blood would buy his act.
At least he had kept his secret… almost. Bee still knew, but she was all the way in Steel City, so there was no problem there.
The room Cyborg was in started blinking red. Criminal activity. Hopefully it wasn't her.
Of course it was her. Her and her team were robbing a jewelry store. The Titans spilt up to fight them, Robin against Mammoth, Starfire against See-more, Raven against Private HIVE, and Beast Boy against Gizmo, leaving Jinx for Cyborg.
She started throwing her jinxes at Cyborg. He used his training to dodge the attacks and moved in to initiate hand-to-hand combat.
"Jinx, just drop the merchandise, and I might be able to get ya out of going to jail." Cyborg tried to persuade her.
"Oh, well, hmmm… no." When she said no, she made a move to punch him in the face with a jinx surrounding her hand.
"C'mon Jinx. You don't really want to do this."
"Did you want to betray the H.I.V.E.?" When he didn't respond, she said, "Yeah, that's what I thought."
She made another move to punch him.
"Tell the devil I said hey when you get back to where you're from." Cyborg said, angry that she brought up the H.I.V.E. How long could someone stay mad? He threw her across the room.
It hurt him to hurt her. He would rather catch a grenade than hurt her.
As he led the Titans to the T-Car, he continued to think about Jinx. He knew that he would die for her, but he doubted that she would do the same.
The Titans climbed into the T-Car. There was some conversation going on, but Cyborg was too busy thing of Jinx to know what it was about.
When he started driving, everything was normal, until they got to a steep hill that, if you didn't turn, would lead you straight into the bay. The car started rolling down the hill, uncontrollably. He slammed on the brakes, but it didn't slow.
"Cyborg, what's going on?!" Robin yelled, grabbing his seat like the other Titans.
"The brake… Jinx!" He realized.
Right before they crashed into the bay, Raven used her powers to levitate the car to the tower.
"Nice save, Raven, but next time can you do that before we're about to crash into the bay!" Beast Boy exclaimed.
Jinx had turned, (or at least mostly) but not for Cyborg. No, it was for Kid Flash. He would still do anything for Jinx, and that included letting her be happy and make her own choices, but if Kid Flash ever broke her heart, he would have to answer to Cyborg.
