Azkadellia awoke with a start, and sighed. She had been having the same nightmares for about

a week now, and was tired of seeing her beautiful face twisted into the old witch's as soon as

she looked into the mirror. She looked up at the ceiling with anger, wanting herself to be

normal again. She smiled as the blankets next to her shifted slightly. Glitch awoke with a yawn,

and sighed as he saw Azkadellia sitting up in bed. "Az, what's wrong?" he asked, quite

concerned about her. "Nothing my love, go back to sleep" she said. He sat up, and grumbled

something incoherently. "How long will it take you to be honest with me?" he asked. She

sighed, knowing that he was right. "I had the nightmare again" she said quietly. He put an arm

around her and pulled her close to him. It had taken him awhile to trust her after the night of the

double eclipse, when DG had pulled her out of the clutches of the evil witch. She had walked

around for a few days, offering to help in whatever way she could, but people either tried to

avoid her completely, or had looked at her in pity whenever she approached. Glitch had been

the only one who had taken the time to make sure that she was okay, and to let her know that

he was there for her. They became fast friends, often escaping to the gardens to talk quietly

about the future, and trying to remember the past. All too soon, Azkadellia realized that her

feelings for Glitch were more than just friendly. Glitch had noticed her withdrawing from him,

often acting embarrassed whenever she said something odd. They had grown apart then, only

speaking in the morning when they all assembled together for breakfast. Glitch had taken to

talking to Cain and Jeb, while Azkadellia was getting reacquainted with her family. It had gone

like this until one night; Azkadellia had fled the castle after having a particularly horrid

nightmare. She ran out into the gardens, and against her better judgment, found herself

magnetically drawn to the cave where all of the bad things had happened all those years ago.

She had collapsed with grief, when she remembered all the horrible things that the witch had

made her do, all the people that she had made her kill… Glitch had followed her into the cave

silently without her knowing, and upon finding her sobbing uncontrollably, had picked her up,

and had carried her all the way back to the castle. He softly kissed her, and told her that he

would never leave her, or let her go to a place that he could not follow.
