Cooper's hand paused an inch from the radio tuner, and he shot a look at the blonde in the driver's seat. "It's loud." He rested his hand on his knee and mumbled, "And it's country" to the lid of his morning coffee before taking a sip.
Charlotte settled into her thickest twang. "You got a problem with that?"
He couldn't suppress a boyish grin. "Not at all."
"Then quit your bellyachin'."
"Yes'm."
As Johnny and June duked it out over Jackson, Charlotte and Cooper parked in the Oceanside Wellness/Pacific Wellcare lot, kissed, and went their separate ways.
