It's the 76th annual Hunger Games.
I'm scared to death. Will have to mentor will it be a small child or an oversized animal you call a person?
I Katniss Everdeen will be a mentor for this year's games.
My fellow victor Peeta Mellark will also help me mentor the coming victors.
My escort to the 75th Games, Effie Trinket, who has a powdered green wig long lashes and ten inch heels, stands on the stage in between the two big glass bowls.
Of course Effie says "Ladies first!"
She scurries over to the girl's glass bowl with the names in it of the coming tributes in them just one waiting to be pulled out.
She twiddles her fingers in the bowl and she pulls out the name as I impatiently wait to see who I'll be mentoring.
She calls out the name "Prim-Rose Everdeen!"
She glares over at me because she knows that's my sister.
I can't volunteer this year for because I've already been in the games and won I'm screaming on the inside praying she will be okay.
She quickly moves over to the boy's glass bowl she pulls it out, and announces the name "The boy's tribute that will be fighting to the death in the 76th Annual Hunger Games is…. Gale Hawthorne!"
Effie and the peacekeepers escort them to the back of the justice hall.
This is where Prim's family which is also mine comes and sees her before she goes to the Hunger games.
Gale's family does the same as Prim's and they let me have extra time with each of the tributes since I'm their mentor.
They let Peeta also have time with these tributes.
I keep thinking how this will turn out since both of them are in love with me. And Peeta will probably take his advantage since he is the mentor and not Gale.
After everyone sees the tributes the peacekeepers take them away and Peeta and I follow them.
I've never seen Gale and Prim so quiet in my whole life time besides the day Gale's and my
dad's died in a coal mine explosion.
We get on the train with the tributes.
Prim comes straight to me and sits in my lap and hugs me tight, I hug her back.
Effie says, "Isn't this the most fabulous train?" to Prim and Gale.
They don't reply with words just a simple nod of the head.
And Peeta starts to explain what's going to happen when they get to the capitol and what they are gonna do. I sit there still looking Gale In the eyes.
He is terrified.
Gale, Peeta, and I try to stay strong for Prims sake.
Peeta and I give them words of encouragement witch is hard because I know what it's like out there. But I still do because I know they will need it.
Prim ask "How will I stay alive?"
"Gale will take care of you no matter what happens." I say and I give him a long look.
He nods in agreement.
