Wish Upon A Star

Second star to the right,

A wishing star, shining so bright.

Created in the mind of a man,

Dreams and imagination, part of his plan.

Two brothers together, not looking for fame or grandeur,

Both rather just a pair of good old dreamers and doers.

They built a kingdom, quite the magical birth

For it has come to known as the happiest place on earth.

Steamboat pilot, become sorcerer's apprentice,

Enchant the galaxy, with magic so momentous.

Lucky rabbit, the mouse's forgotten brother,

Vindicated by history, returned to each other.

Temperamental sailor, hero of childhood,

Clumsy dog, always looking to do good.

Loyal canine, and the mouse's beloved wife,

Immortalised in the stars, and friends for life.

Open the storybook, revisit old tales,

Romance and adventure bring many wondrous trails.

Sleeping beauties, waiting for their true love,

Brave princes come, fulfilling the dreams they think of.

Off to the ball, dance until midnight,

Glass slipper solves love's plight.

Girl with the golden hair, cure of the flower,

Behold the floating lanterns, escaped from your tower.

Wooden puppet, more than just a toy,

Be brave, selfless and honest, turn into a real boy.

Baby elephant, flying high in the sky,

With faith and trust, spread your arms and fly.

Journey to Neverland, where one can forever be young,

Or the world of wonder, where hatters have all the fun.

Board a magic carpet, explore a whole new world,

Where genies and stars danced and twirled.

The mermaid under the sea,

Curse of the rose, despair of a beast.

Searching for love, which seems out of reach,

Tales as old as time, happiness unleashed.

But with joy comes sorrow and moments of woe,

The tears of the great prince for the mother lost in the snow.

Sisters separated by a frozen heart,

Runaway cub of a dead king, life broken apart.

Enter the forces of darkness and evil,

Prepared to bring despair and upheaval.

The vain queen, no longer the fairest of all,

Poisoned apple, make beauty fall.

Maleficent's fury brings green flame and black thorn,

Death by the spinning wheel, a kingdom left in forlorn.

Atop the mountain, the black god spreads his wings,

Tormenting the spirits until the morning bell rings.

But hope and happiness spring eternal,

And banishes all that is deemed nocturnal.

Here comes the hero with true love's kiss,

For it is love that can bring eternal bliss.

The magic of make believe is more than just pretending,

For in this magic kingdom, everyone gets a happy ending.

Life is fleeting, and the good times may appear seldom,

Remember these words – "To all come to this happy place. Welcome."
