Author's Note: I haven't written a Fanfiction for Remus (or really anyone else, for that matter), in quite some time, so please bare with me if I am a little rusty. I'm hoping this will be up to par, but I just figured I would throw that out there. In writing this Fanficition I have tread with caution: I want it to be as good as possible. I have been dying to write a new Fanfiction, and now I can. It is rather short but it just felt right to create a small little snippet of their lives and how I would like to see Remus finally come to terms with being in love with Tonks. Without further ado, my first oneshot for the Ultimate OTP Competition by DobbyRocksSocks- Round One.

Her arms were crossed lazily over her chest as she slept, head cocked to the side, and strewn over the couch at an angle that Remus was not sure was very comfortable. He watched her nervously as Molly bustled about behind him, quietly trying to finish the dusting and waxing of the long coffee table. He fidgeted uncomfortably, moving his hand to scratch the back of his head before finally turning to Molly.

"You know, Molly, that isn't such a g-"

He winced as Nymphadora let out a loud, painful sounding sneeze and sat up sleepily.

"-Who's doing this?" She asked, wiping her itchy nose with the pack of her wrist.

"Oh, dear, is this my fault?"

Remus smiled at Molly slightly; apologetically.

"Nympha-" he could almost feel her hair turning bright red behind him. "Tonks, is extremely allergic to dust. I tried to warn you."

"I'm sorry, Tonks. Can I get you some tea or something?"

"You know, Molly," Remus cut in. "'ll be happy to grab it for her in a moment but right now," he turned to face Tonks. "We have some things to speak about. Can I talk to you? In private?"

Tonks nodded and stood quickly, following him out of the room as Molly stared at them thoughtfully.

Grimmauld Place was lit with soft, shimmering yellow lanterns that created a peaceful- albeit a tad eerie- glow. As Remus took Tonks' hand in his own and walked up the stairs with her, she couldn't help but try and avert her attention elsewhere. She was not expecting a different meeting with Remus. Every meeting since the Order of the Phoenix had formed were the same: her swooning, him denying her. In fact, some nights this unrequited love was so obvious that he wasn't even there. Of course, this was not his ignoring her. He was a werewolf, and she was aware of this- painstakingly aware. Did he know that she knew? Not all of the Order had been told, she assumed. Well, not her, anyway. She had found out from Molly and Arthur, who had felt terribly about divulging that. It was 'Remus's place to tell whomever he wanted' they had tried to apologize, but it hadn't mattered. Tonks wanted to know as much as she could about the brown-haired, intelligent ex-professor. Remus being a lyncanthrope changed nothing. How could he ever think that it would?

Before she knew it, Tonks had made it to the top landing and Remus pushed open one of the adjacent doors and ushered her in. He shut the door gently behind him, wasting no time in looking into her eyes with an emotion Tonks could not place, that had never been in his eyes before. Her hair was now a mousy brown; her eyes vacant.

"Oh, Tonks." He moved quickly to embrace her and her eyes went wide.

"What are you doing?" She asked, her voice trembling; shock coursing through her veins.

"I can't go on lying to you." He spoke softly, pushing the hair back from her face as he stared into her eyes.

And it was just like that. All it took was that one moment, and she remembered nothing before it. In fact, nothing else after it mattered much either.

All she could hear, over and over, were his next words: "I do love you."
