Having completed a particularly gruelling training session, Captain Bravo and Kazuki were having a quick rest. Captain Bravo was sitting on a rock, eating a banana and Kazuki was lying back on the grass, panting heavily.

"I can't feel my legs anymore."

Bravo chuckled. "That's a shame, because we're going to be doing this sort of thing every day."

"Whaa?!?"

"Sorry, but if you don't get used to it, you'll never complete your training, which would mean that you'd never get to be a proper alchemist warrior."

"Ugh. What've I let myself in for?"

Bravo decided that that was probably a rhetorical question. Since those sorts of questions didn't need answers, he just kept on talking.

"It's like that with everything. If you don't practice, you'll never get to the top. Like in surfing, you-"

Kazuki interrupted him. "You know how to surf?"

"Yeah, remember?"

Kazuki jumped straight to his feet. "Cool! Can you teach me how to surf?"

"Sure! One thing, though."

"What is it? I'll do anything!"

"Have you got a board of your own?"

"Huh? Well, no…"

"In that case, you'd better hire one, because you can't surf without a board, can you? It'd be very cool if you could, though."

"Okay. So when'll you start teaching me to surf?"

"Hmm… do you think you can get a board by tomorrow morning?"

"Uh, probably not."

"In that case, meet me at the harbour on Sunday morning. There are always good waves there."

"Okay!"

Kazuki's stomach growled very loudly. Bravo smiled.

"Let's go get a snack."

"Okay. Should we get some green vegetable juice too?"

"Good idea!"
