Leo Klieson looked at the setting sun, as he walked towards a cemetery. He was going to see his mother's grave. He had a rose in his hand to put next to her grave. He looked around to see if anyone was following him, but no one was.
Leo made it to the cemetery and went over to his mother's grave. He got down on one knee and put the rose near the stone. He sighed and closed his eyes.
"I'm sorry mother…" he whispered. "I couldn't save you…" That's what he said every time he came. A single tear fell from his left eye.
"Leo…" a voice whispered.
Leo stood up and spun around to see Lili Rochefort walking towards him.
"Lili?" Leo asked, as he quickly wiped the tear away. "What are you doing here?"
"I followed you," she replied, when she stopped in front of him. "I've seen you come here every day and I just had to know what you were doing. She…she's your mother, right?"
"Right…" Leo looked away from her sadly.
"I'm…I'm sorry," Lili said.
Leo fell to his knees and stared at the grave stone. Lili sat next to him and also stared at the grave stone.
There were moments of silence and then Leo spoke. "You can leave,"
"I'm leaving when you leave," She replied, as she stared at him.
Leo turned away from her avoiding looking into her eyes.
"Leo?"
"Yes?" Leo looked at her.
Lili quickly kissed his lips and turned away, blushing.
Leo touched his lips, shocked. She just kissed him. Why?
"I…I think we should be going," Leo stood up, shakily. Lili also stood up and took his hand in hers.
"I'll take you home in my limo," Lili offered.
Leo just nodded and looked up at the sky. "Goodbye mother…"
The End
