If I could change the world, I'd begin with that one dark day

when the entire world was led astray....

It starts with a snake with an evil plan

that ends up causing the fall of man.

But first ,in the beginning, allow me to start

with Creation, the every first part.

From the dust of the earth God formed the man

named Adam, who is the one who can

live with the animals and eat from the trees

but he is alone with only the bees.

The woman who the snake is to deceive

wife of Adam, her name is Eve.

God trusts them to live by His law

and to be humble and fair.

He cares for them and they live in peace,

until the snake comes to cease

their perfect paradise

where everything in its nature is very precise.

The snake comes with evil in mind

as he slithers his way up the vine.

He calls to her as one who is nice

but really he comes to entice

the Lord and ruin His perfect paradise.

He asks her, "Did God really say ...?"

and she responds with a 'Nay.'

He tells her to eat of the fruit on the tree

and that she will become like He

who is all-knowing and very good

treats her well, just as He would.

That he really didn't mean it

and that if she bit

nothing bad would happen.

She was convinced, and took a bite

if only she had the sight

to see what would happen when she disobeyed

God's rules for life, but she wasn't afraid.

She convinced the man to do so as well

and told him that he shouldn't tell

but God knew what they had done and was sad

because he knew what the snake had done was very, very bad.

The man's and the woman's eyes were opened

and they began to tend

to their growing shame.

But who was to blame??

They covered themselves and hid from He

who walked in the garden and created the tree.

God called to them and asked where they were

and they replied, 'Well, sir,'

'The woman that you gave me, she is to blame'

said the man, who was full of shame.

'The snake deceived me and I ate'

said the woman, who now was full of hate.

The snake, happy and clever

tried to run and to sever

his bond with the woman, connecting him to the crime

and he the one who should do time.

God knew this, and he cursed the serpent, saying

"And I will put enmity between you and the woman

and between you

off spring and hers.

He will crush your head

and you will strike his heel." (Gen. 3:15)

------------------------------------------------------

God won, the snake lost

but at what a cost.

The punishment of the sin

carried on to their kin

and the entire world was to blame

for that simple sin that we all had to claim.

The world is full of hate and of shame

of violence that no one can tame.

The world has its good, but also its bad.

and we all are known to get very, very mad.

God's plan was carried out

so there's no reason to pout.

He gave us a way to come back to Him

and so he, she and them

can all go to heaven.

Jesus saved us through his death on the cross

and now sin is no longer the boss.

We have a choice and we don't have to always do bad

though sometimes we can't help it and are sad.

So, If I could change the world today, I'd make

the entire world better for our sake.

There would be no wars

no anger nor sores

It would be perfect, just as God meant it to be

and then we all would perfectly see

God's way for the world, sinless and pure

without any need of a wonderful cure.
