Hiya everyone. "The Missing Piece" might be the first to be updated once I actually get around to, that and "Unexpected Encounter" too. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE (GUESTS ESPECIALLY) FOR REVIEWING!

I watched all 4 movies of Terminator. And I know how they went. So this is technically *AU*.

I am currently watching "Star Trek: 2009" and since Anton from "Terminator: Salvation" I was like, well, WHY NOT?

Kyle was stunned.

Marcus was dead.

John was alive.

He was alright.

But Marcus was dead.

It was nearly dawn. The sky was reddening with the first of the sun's rays. Today, the Resistance would begin a new battle - to win the war.

They'd set up camp a day after Marcus' death. This battle would be nothing new. But they had more Terminators to destroy, and they were willing to do it - after seeing a machine sacrifice itself for a human.

Kyle stood guard while others slept, but his attention had been stolen from his duty for only a few seconds.

In his hand was a photo.

It was a woman - a beautiful woman - in a car of some sort, obviously from when cameras were still of any use to humans. A woman that John had known. All he knew was of her name, and that she was dead.

Sarah Connor.

Maybe it was a coincidence their last names were the same.

He had to wonder, though. Who had she been to the world? What had she been like? Had she had any children - ever been married? If she had, who had been her husband? What had her kids been like - if she'd any at all? What had her interests been, besides guns, of course?

He shook his head slightly. Why did he care? It wasn't like he would be meeting her any time in his life, was it? No, he thought, he wouldn't. There was no way. Everyone who'd lived before Skynet's reign had had someone who had died - unless they had been born alone.

He tucked the photo away and returned his eyes to the wasteland, sweeping his surroundings for anything suspicious.

And although the day pressed on and events began to unfold regarding the human race's plans to strike at Skynet, the image of the woman lingered in the back of his mind.

And it would remain in the back of Kyle's mind until he would be sent back in time to meet her.
