"I'll be fine." Harry said as Ginny prepared to leave him with the baby for a week.

"Harry, are you sure. He's only a month old. I haven't left you alone with him before" said Ginny hesitantly.

"Of course I will be fine" said Harry felling fairly confident in himself.

" Ok " said Ginny as she handed Harry James who had been carefully balanced on her hip. " there is a list of things to make sure you do while I'm gone. Don't forget to EVERYTHING on the list. "

"I will do everything on the list. Now enjoy yourself on your trip to Ireland with Hermione."

"I will" said Ginny not fully confident in Harry's ability to take care of a baby. "I love you, both of you giving them each a kiss.

"I love you too" Harry said as Ginny walked out the door.

"Ok" Harry sighed as he closed the door behind her. He went to the kitchen to see the list Ginny had made for him.

Keep the House Clean

FEED THE BABY

BATHE the BABY (MORE THAN ONCE)

CALL EVERY OTHER NIGHT

CHANGE THE BABY

MAKE SURE BABY HAS CLEAN CLOTHES ON

DON"T LET BABY SLEEP ON IT'S STOMACH (IT CAN SOMETIMES INCREASE THE RISK OF SIDS)

Have a Nice time,

Love Ginny

Harry shook his head and thought about how little confidence Ginny had in him. He made a mental note in the back of his head to look up what SIDS was. He settled down to watch the quidditch game with James sleeping on his chest.

"Ahh" Harry jumped when the baby started crying halfway through the game. It startled him. He wasn't quit sure what to do so he checked the diaper. Clean.

Harry went to the warmed up milk. He tested on his wrist as Ginny had showed him. He yelps as it burned his skin. It took three tries to get a suitable temperature. In he end James refused to drink it. In a act of panic he decided to take the baby for a walk.. The lived in a fairly large neighborhood along with other familiar families Hermione and Ron, Luna Lovegood and her husband, and the Malfoys-the did not talk to the Malfoy's usually. He passed by the Lovegood's with the baby still crying.

"Why Hello Harry" said Luna in her very ditzy voice. " I see you have the baby to yourself today."

"Yeah" said Harry "you have twin toddlers how to you get them to be quiet?"

"Well" said Luna when all else fails there is a spell I use that knocks them out. It doesn't hurt them it just makes them faint. Plus doing it frequently helps keep the mufflini out of they're heads."

" The what?" asked Harry.

"The mufflini the go in through your ears and never come back out, well sometimes they come out through the nose but they make your hair turn a lime green." She explained.

" Alright" said Harry " Great, well Luna it was nice seeing you again."

"You too, Harry. Good Luck with the baby!"

"Err thanks" said Harry walking away. He looked back in time to see two toddlers lying on the ground unconscious.

The next mansion belonged to the Malfoy's. Harry tried to walk by fast but the stroller wasn't that easy to push. Newly Married Draco was making his way outside.

"Well, if it isn't Potter", he sneered to his wife. He wife was a sweet girl from a pureblood family.

"Oh he has a baby. I want to see it." His wife hurried over while Draco watched in disgust. " Oh he's crying. Come here baby. Can I hold him?"

Harry was too tired to object. The minute Lindsey Malfoy picked James up he stopped crying. She rocked him back and forth as Harry sighed in relief.

"I love babies!!!!!" squealed Lindsey. She didn't have a whole lot upstairs.

"Lindsey, give Potter back his baby we have to go" Draco ordered.

"Ok, Draco baby. I is coming." She said. " Oh, bye Harry and baby."

" For God Sake Lindsey we do not make nice with the enemy."

"Why?"

"Ok come on let's go." Draco ushered her.

The baby remained quiet, well for awhile anyway.
