A New Start

Leonard paused at the front gate of the prison. It's been years since he's been in here. Years since he saw Barry.

Years since Barry put him in here.

Was he a little bitter over the fact? Yeah, sure. You would be too if the person you loved put you in prison. But none of that mattered to Len, he loved Barry regardless.

"Free to go Snart." The guard sneered, handing him the pile of clothes he'd come into the prison with. It was a simple black turtleneck and a pair of jeans. At least it wasn't the scrubs he'd been wearing when he'd been arrested.

After he'd changed, he was led to the front of the prison, his heart sinking the more he walked. Sure, he was free. But in prison he could avoid the cruel reality that Barry was probably never going to want to see him again.

The entire time Len had been in prison, only once had Barry come to visit him.

"Hurry up, Snart," the guard ordered. "Your ride is waiting."

'Ride? Must be Lisa.' He thought, as they reached the front doors. He stepped through them, into the cold post-winter air. The snow was just starting to melt.

And yet it wasn't the snow he was focused on. It was the person waiting for him on the other side of the gate.

"Barry?" He whispered, seeing the boy smile at him widely.

"You look surprised to see me?" Barry teased, as the gates opened. "Did you really think I'd-"

Len didn't give him any time to finish, kissing him roughly. God had he missed the taste of those beautiful lips. When he pulled back, Barry was still smiling at him.

"Come on," Barry whispered, throwing an arm over his shoulder. "Let's go home."
