Rue's Death POV
As I turn around, finishing up from making my signal fire I hear the soft tune of the mockingjay song I had taught Katniss. I sighed in relief knowing she's okay. As I walk through the forest I feel eyes beating down on me but where ever I turn no one is there.
As I come up to a clearing I see him. A boy perched up in a tree. I try to run but it is too late. I am trapped. The boy throws a net on my while in one swift movement throws the spear. I close my eyes. As the spear enter my abdomen I let out a beyond loud shriek. "Rue!" I hear katniss's voices echo through the trees "Rue where are you!" "Katniss!" I yell into the trees. I see her sleek but messy figure through the trees. The boy that has captured me is now jumping down from the trees. By this time I am terrified he is going to finish me off. I tilt my head looking at the boy. Out of no where an arrow flies by me and right into his neck.
Katniss runs up to the boy and rips the arrow clean out of his throat. "Rue" Katniss says in a terrified tone. I know I'm going to die. "Please Katniss, don't leave." "I wont katniss says." "sing to me." I say with a soft voice. "I will" she says. With her beautiful voice in my head I slowly fall asleep. But not before I see her bury me in flowers. With the soft scent of wild flowers in my nose I let my self slip away.
