A super-short note from the author, Bunny~
Hello one and all! Just gonna drop this off as my umpteenth apology for Meta War's lateness! But with all the hours I'm logging, I think it'll be worth the wait!
This poem is lengthy, as all of mine are, but it tells a story I'm fond of: the rise and fall of the modern meta game. I'm dedicating this story to my new card lore and poetry buddy, EclipsedUmbra, who's new to Fanfiction like me! (I'm not sure if they'd want me advertising, but I'm proud of them :3)

The curtain draws,
The game begins,
The Master pulls the puppets' strings…

A tragedy,
She starts to tell,
A deadly monster, a wicked spell…

Souls collide,
A pawn appears,
Few thought their reign would last for years…

She commanded,
The pawn complied,
And an army more stood at their side…

Many died,
Some in vain,
Others joined in dealing the pain…

She played the music,
They followed along,
A hundred soldiers marched to the beat of the song…

Strings trailed on,
Lands were burned,
But dominance was what she yearned…

One stood tall,
When all were dead,
None behind, she looked ahead…

There they were,
Framed with light,
All who lived bowed down to their might…

They felt no fear,
Until that day,
When she stole one of their own away…

They fell too,
All lost their hope,
And with their pain, no one could cope…

The game was hers,
She beat them all,
And then, she too began to fall…

Judgment came,
Her creators' rage,
Locked her strength within a cage…

She lost her might,
She was like them,
Those many whom fell beneath her whim…

And now, the war?
Who would win?
No victor in this wasteland, then…?

New creatures came,
And ruled the land,
"Our new era is now at hand!"

Those words they spoke,
Were heard before,
By Blue-Eyes Dragons in days of yore…

Time repeats,
But for now, rest,
This innocent era is at its best…

But when time flies,
Who will be king?
Who will be Master of everything?

Majespecter, Kozmo, Psyframe, Graydle, Black Luster Soldier

And scene! First off, for those of you guessing, the "one who stood tall" is Necloth, the strongest deck in the meta game. Or at least they were. Shaddoll was given Anomalilith, giving them a new weapon against the only thing that could stop them. But Konami, the "creator" banned and limited the Shaddolls' power, including banning Construct completely, thus "locking her power away in a cage."
After that, all the meta decks became the same weak power, no one able to overcome the other, struggling for dominance...until along came the New-Gi-Oh! decks in Dimension of Chaos.
Guys, I can't wait to have New-Gi-Oh! come to America. This legendary struggle is what we have to look forward to.

Secondly, I'm proud of this poem because I never used the same rhyme twice. If I did, tell me in the reviews, so I can eat my words!
Please review to tell me what you thought, and enjoy the free biscuits!

Thanks for reading, as always, guys! Bunny, out~
