Cherry Blossoms are overrated.
A/N: Naruino one-shot just because I love the couple. This is also the first fic I have ever posted, so please try to be kind. Enjoy.
There she was in the middle of the village; this would be the perfect opportunity.
"Sakura-chan?"
"Ah, Naruto! Don't scare me like that baka!"
"Ah sorry Sakura-chan. I got you flowers!" It was then Naruto gave Sakura a dozen cherry blossoms.
"Naruto, hey WHY WOULD YOU GIVE ME THESE?" Yelled Sakura, while throwing the flowers on the floor.
"Hey, hey Sakura what's your problem? "
"MY PROBLEM IS YOU, YOU STUPID IDIOT! YOU'RE SO ANNOYING ALWAYS ASKING ME OUT ON DATES! GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEAD THAT I DO NOT, NOR WILL I EVER LIKE YOU!"
With this, Naruto's heart was shattered. He quickly ran away, picking up the beautiful pink flowers.
'I didn't know Sakura-chan could be so cruel' Naruto thought to himself as he looked at the flowers, while looking at the flowers he suddenly realized something,
"Ino..." With this statement Naruto sped down to the Yamanaka flower shop
Ino was just about to close up shop as she was about to get off of work. When suddenly Naruto came back, he had just been here buying cherry blossoms 5 minutes ago. Did something happen? {A/N: for the purpose of this one-shot actually working Ino and Naruto are already good friends.} "Naruto-kun?"
"Ino! Here I have to give the cherry blossoms back! Don't bother with my refund." This happened a lot; Naruto bought flowers for Sakura and was always turned down.
"What happened now, Naruto-kun?"
"She threw them at me and I asked her what her problem was, and she said that her problem was me! I don't know what I did to deserve this damnit! I chase and chase her precious 'Sasuke-kun for her and all I ask for is a date! She can't even give me that!" By now, Naruto was starting to sob, Ino hugged him tight, Naruto, listen, I think you need to move on from Sakura."
"You know what Ino-chan? Maybe you're right."
"Of course I am baka."
"But I mean who would like me? Everyone knows what I carry inside of me and I'm despised for it! No one likes me!"
THWRAP! Suddenly, Naruto felt a sting on his cheek and rubbed it.
"Ino-chan..."
"You're wrong you baka! Someone likes you!
"Who?" Naruto inquired.
"Isn't it obvious Naruto? It's me."
Narutos eyes went wide, "h-huh?"
"That's right Naruto-baka. I, Yamanaka Ino love you. I have for a while."
"Well, why didn't you tell me?"
"Because I was scared that it might ruin our friendship." Ino admitted
"Ne, ne Ino, I'd never stop being your friend, you are far too important! Naruto grinned. Ino blushed, and kissed him on the cheek. "So are you over Sakura now Naruto?" Ino asked with a mischievous smile.
Naruto just responded by kissing her on the lips, parting and saying
"Yeah, I think I finally found the sunflower field."
