I shoved my arms up with all my strength. I'd been trying to get free for about forty-five minutes but I was too weak. My kind had amazing stamina, and strength; we could run for hours as long as we feed regularly. But I haven't feed in almost five-hundred years. I couldn't feed. I refused to change an innocent human to sate my hunger. I'm supposed to be protected by the council I created but I still have my doubts. I've been dormant for five centuries, almost six. Kaname, the man I fell in love with, chose to sleep also with periodic awaking to sate his thirst and find out my well being, but are eldest grandson thought otherwise. He sacrificed our only granddaughter's child. A boy named after Kaname. He was only an infant. He was killed to awaken Kaname. Rido stabbed his little betting heart after killing his younger siblings to get to the child. Kaname and I slept separate his chambers lied directly under the mansion. Mine were placed directly under Aido-dono's mansion. I could feel him. His pain and heart ache at the site before him. Rido lay in a bloody heap beside him unable to be killed for he was now the master over my Kaname.
I sat up, or tried to at least. The top of my tomb was placed over me. And I was feeling strangely claustrophobic. No matter how much noise I made no one came. I let out a loud shriek that hurt even my ears. That's when I heard it… "Don't open that coffin Hanabusa!"
"But Akatsuki she's awake….. And I think something is wrong…. Don't give me that look I know father said not to ever open the coffin but she wants out and where supposed to serve our pure-blood lords…"
"Sighs…Alright."
The lid began to move and as soon as I could grasp its edges I flung it off. I jumped out of the coffin. And looked at the two teenage boys standing in front of me. They bowed low. "Rise."
They rose. "Where is Aido-dono?"
"Father is out of town on business with the elders of the council. He's do to return in two weeks."
"Ichio?"
"Same."
"I need to speak with him on the phone."
"yes, Yuuki-sama, of course." He pulled out a cell phone and dialed a number. I could hear the ringing from where I stood.
"Hanabusa, I told you not to call me."
"Father, Yuuki-sama wishes to speak to you."
"Put her on now!"
"Yes, father." He handed me the phone.
"Aido-dono?"
"Yes. Yuuki-sama?"
"Rido attacked the mansion Haruka and Jurri were killed and the child sacrificed to raise Kaname."
"dead silence"
"I'll be there in about forty-five minutes."
"Please bring Ichio."
"Yes, Yuuki-sama, of course." I hung up the phone.
"Will you accompany me to my home?"
They both knelt. "Yes Yuuki-sama."
We took off at a run towards the house. I pushed through the front door and saw the devastation.
