The dragon yawned as it looked around, not many Sandwings were in the desert for now. After all, the queen had ordered most of the Sandwings to head out and scout for some secret thing. Not much happened in the Sandwing kingdom anymore, except for those hybrids. Ever since hybrid dragons were found, there'd been more of them. They were fascinating to look at just because of the different combinations. Suddenly, the dragon then felt a jolt of pain, and fell down on the ground. "Perfect, soon we'll have our revenge..."

CHAPTER I

Pari watched the rest of her winglet react to the big news. "Yep, we're getting an emergency replacement from an unknown tribe, who is also a hybrid."

"Pari, how do YOU know this? The entire day, you've just been sticking your head in that stupid scroll of yours."

"It's not stupid, it's scientific! With this knowledge, we'd be able to welcome our new arrival with warm wings! Except for you Frost, you'd probably freeze him to death."

"Oh, so now you know it's a him Pari?"

"Of course I do, i've met him- I mean, I eavesdropped on some people!"

"So how'd you meet your boyfriend huh?" The arguing went on and on as the Copper Winglet fought. The whole time, none of them noticed the Rainwing standing in the doorway. They also didn't notice the Mudwing/Skywing hybrid behind that Rainwing. "Alright, are you guys just gonna argue all day? Your new hybrid is here." The Copper Winglet stared at the Rainwing and the hybrid behind her. "Well, greet him!"

"Uh.. hello? I'm not sure what your name is... but I hope we could be friends? I mean, i've never actually spoken to somebody besides my parents before.. i'm kind of an outcast in my own tribe"

"What Kilomet is trying to say is that she wants to be friends with you." Frost explained to the hybrid. Kilomet was by far the youngest dragonet in the Winglet, and was extremely shy. Nobody had ever met a shy Skywing before, so they didn't really speak much with Kilomet - not like Kilomet minded, he enjoyed the silence. "Well, my name is Mirdal, i'm a male, my father was a Mudwing and my mother was a Skywing. I enjoy fighting and soaking in mud heals my wounds. Also, does anybody here have cows? I love cows." Pari didn't exactly expect this, she only met him once and they just spoke about what Winglet he'd be in. She went to find him when everyone else left for lunch.

Mirdal analyzed his Winglet and made mental notes in his head. Kilomet was a Skywing, they could probably end up being friends. Frost (Pari mentioned her) probably would have to end up being avoided. Pari would end up being nice to talk with when everybody else wasn't in the room, she seemed nice. Mirdal decided to take a walk and find something to eat, and Pari decided to come with Mirdal. While they were hunting, Mirdal suddenly collapsed. He saw Pari falling into a volcano, Kilomet getting killed in an explosion, and then he saw some sort of figure get stabbed three times in a row before it collapsed.

Mirdal woke up suddenly, with Pari looking at him with concern. "Are you alright? You just suddenly collapsed and started screaming." Mirdal couldn't think of what to say, would she even believe him if he said that he had visions of Pari, Kilomet, and some other dragon die? He then heard a voice in his head before he collapsed yet again.

"You're about to see the fates of all you know and love in a few seconds Mirdal. You won't prevent them, i'll make sure of that."
