The Dragon Knight

Chapter Five

As the Orc Lord faded, the night and blackness of the Orc Army began to grow in hate.

"Why do they plan for revenge when their leader is gone?" said Draco.

"Apparently we failed to slay the Orc Commander. We must go to their base, where ever it is." Dracon suggested.

"Agreed." So the eight scouted to find the Orc Commander, but they did not see him. Draco however was unaware that he was a part of a family that came from mages. Mages were magic wielders that could destroy cities if given the motive. Then he felt a magic that burnt inside of him and he raised his arm and a wall of fire burst out of the ground. The ground rumbled and crumbled. The fire was white and Orc bodies came sprouting outwards with burnt and demolished hides. The fire grew ablaze as he saw the demolished the dead bodies. "This will be fun!" He continued to blast through stone walls in the castle. They searched continuously for the Orc Commander.

As they all searched for him, the Orc leader led his troops to the canyons of Kaine. They packed food and water. They sought sanctuary from the dark lord. Draco sensed them on their way to Kaine. They had to kill the last of the remnants or evil would gain hope. So the men retreated to Daine to pick up reinforcements. They let the Orcs return to Kaine and now the men of Daine have great notice on how big the numbers will be.

So the Orcs had gone to Kaine and picked up the reinforcements, but now so did the fellows. Now the armies faced off. Draco slashed his staff downwards and a large beam of fire shot and hundreds of Orcs fell to the flames. Then the army charged to the Orcs and carved their way through the waves. Draco slashed upwards and downwards and side to side. Tayth carved through the torso and Deledan stabbed in the neck.

The Dwarves smashed and crushed with their axes and the King of Asadur bashed and sliced with the Sword of Asadur. The large waves of Orcs came one after another. Finally the men of Daine managed to carve their way through the large waves of Orcs. Draco had Orc blood spilled all over his torso and neck.

The staff had blood all over its blade. Draco quickly sprinted in the through the waves, holding his staff to the side and cutting down opponents throughout the field. The army then searched for any Orcs that were suffering. Instead of putting them out of their misery quick, they sliced the Orcs' necks and that caused more pain. No prisoners were to be kept. The salvation of Moradon may have been bloody, but that was the way it had to be for the people of Moradon. All of the countries lived in peace. The islands of Suron had offered trade to Daine merely months after the battle. They traded food for weapons. Dracon gave the food to Draco's home so Draco could stop Dragon Hunting and become the highest rank Knight of Asadur: The Dragon Knight.
