He doesn't cry about you anymore

Doesn't grin through the day and sob through the night

And to most people he's grown up, grown out of a miserable childhood followed by a tragic loss

He's become a fine man, a fine hokage just as he always dreamed

It's just his smile it isn't the same anymore, never quite turned up enough at the corners never quite reaching dejected eyes

It breaks my heart every time I see it and when he asks me what's wrong I can only reply, as I always have, it's nothing stupid, with a smile as pitiful as his own,
