Aragorn son of Arathorn was running as fast as he could. He was being chased by archers through the Old Forest. He scrambled up a tree to safety and waited for the archers to pass. He sighed as he saw the angry men disappear into the trees.

When he had waited a moment, he slowly climbed back down. After he had wandered around for a while, he hunted a rabbit and drank some water from a nearby stream.

When he had cooked and ate, he tried to sleep, but just couldn't. He had too much on his mind. He thought all night about what lay ahead of him. But finally, he drifted off into sleep…

The songs of native birds and the bright light of the sun woke Aragorn. He gathered up leftover water and rabbit meat, cooked, and ate.

Aragorn set off looking for someone who could help him out of the Forest. After about an hour of walking, Aragorn spotted an older man walking the other way. The man was about sixty, maybe a little older than that, and Aragorn approached him. Aragorn jogged over to the man until he was able to see all of the man's features. The man had black hair, a brown moustache and beard, and bright green eyes.

"Excuse me, sir, can you help me?" Aragorn asked, trying not to upset the man.

The man said, "What do you ask of me?"

"Just to travel with you for a matter of days." said Aragorn.

"Um, okay." The man seemed cautious of the lost traveler. But not too cautious, since he let the child come along.

"What is your name?" Aragorn asked, cautiously, after walking a while behind the slow man.

"…I cannot tell you that. What is yours?" The man seemed frightened of the young boy's curiosity.

"I am Aragorn, son of Arathorn." The young boy said, proudly.

The next day was uneventful until late afternoon, when the unlikely duo heard strange sounds, like someone was following them. They turned around and saw a small group of orcs.
