A Letter from Katherine

Summary: Katherine and Damon have gone on a little road trip, leaving Elena in the blue. Stefan has come back to Mystic Falls with Klaus and Rebecca, without being able to give his brother or ex-girlfriend a proper warning about their arrival. All that's left for Elena is a letter… from Katherine… brief, but still leaving our heroine confused. One-Shot

A/N: I'm a huge fan of The Vampire Diaries, I got really into the books last Christmas when my friend Steph got me them – she got me the final books for my birthday, which was really sweet. Then this summer I decided to watch all of season one and two, and I'm currently watching season three on the internet because I cannot be bothered to wait for it to air in the UK (I think it has aired, but I'm not re-watching those episodes, I need to know what happens to Stefan and Damon!) I hope you enjoy this One-Shot.

Hello Elena,

I wouldn't really leave letters; it's just not my thing. Damon, however, said that I had too, being as it was my idea. You've got that brother whipped, I'm impressed – it isn't a bad thing to love the both of them you know. I did, although, I loved Stefan a bit more than Damon, with that gorgeous face and his windswept hair…

(Katherine, now isn't the time to be describing my brother)

It's so much fun, though Damon. Jealous, are you?

Damon and I are… going on a little road trip, shall I say? Not going to go into detail, someone else could read it. Let's just say, we're going to get your beloved Stefan back sooner or later, wouldn't you rather it be sooner? I know you would, so it would do you well to stay put and not bother looking for us. When I say us, I mean Damon – you wouldn't willingly look for me, would you? I didn't think so.

Things couldn't get any better than this, could it? No Salvatore brother to protect you. Looks like you're going to have to stay inside Elena. Lock yourself up in your room, dead bolt all your doors, it doesn't matter what you do, just stay out of trouble.

I don't want to sound caring, because I really don't care what happens to you. But I do care about what happens to Stefan. I'm doing this for him. So do this one thing for me, for his sake.

Wow, so Katherine wrote Elena a letter because Damon told her too... sweet. It's based on one of the episodes in season three, so I apologise for any spoilers if there is any.
