His TV still hurt her eyes, so they usually watched movies on his laptop (which was a prototype not scheduled for release until 2015—seriously, where did he get all of this stuff?) Apart from his (professionally lit) porn collection, Barney had a pretty impressive library of DVDs. (Although, they did occasionally choose a film from the illuminated shelves.)

One night, when it was too early to go to sleep, but too late to watch a movie (and they'd already gone a couple of rounds), Robin suggested watching an episode of something on Hulu. (He, of course, made a joke about her wanting to watch Degrassi, and she had to bite her tongue to keep from saying that Degrassi wasn't even on Hulu). Robin didn't want to watch something she was going to addicted to only to discover the last three seasons weren't even online, and Barney didn't want to watch anything involving the Real Housewives of anywhere, so they chose Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog.

From the start, Robin can't get over how much Billy looks like Barney. ("Please, that guy doesn't look like he's ever been within twenty feet of a barber, much less a suit.") Barney, unsurprisingly, identified with Captain Hammer. ("You would.") Robin didn't really identify with anyone, but the songs were catchy, and it was funny to imagine Barney getting his ass kicked by that guy from Castle, so she enjoyed it, nonetheless.

They watched all three parts, and Barney loved the ending. "See, you can be so much more awesome when you're not pining over some chick. I should make Ted watch this," he declared, and Robin decided that pointing out the irony wouldn't go over very well.

Robin hummed what she could remember of "Freeze Ray," as Barney explained his plan to explain the plot to Lily the next time she got on his nerves. ("Think of all the times I could use the word 'Moist.'")

As they turned off the lights and got ready for bed, Barney turned to Robin and said, "Aren't you glad we watched that instead of some lame show like Degrassi?"

Robin couldn't stop herself from saying, "The guy who played Captain Hammer is Canadian."
