It was Christmas Eve and Winry sat in the floor counting the lights on the tree while her sone napped on the couch behind her and her daughter in a crib in her room. She sighed and rested her head on her knees. She guessed if Edward wasn't home by now he wouldn't be home until tomorrow night. If that. The snow had been causing problems with the trains.

"Mommy?" she sat back up and turned to see the couch as she heard a sleepy voice. "Hey sleepy boy. What are you doing awake William?" she asked him. "Nap done.' he told her matter of factly and smiled. He climbed down and sat beside her. "Mommy? When daddy coming home?" He asked looking up at her.

She looked down and stroked his hair softlyl. "He and uncle Al are trying their bests to get home willie..." He nodded and looked over at Den and Angel as the two dogs slept by the fire place. Den lifted his head as he heard the baby crying upstairs. "I'll be back willie." Winry said getting up and rushing upstairs to check on Emily.

As the day went on and night approched she helped William make cookies for Santa. "Think he will like them mommy?" William asked happily as he carried the plate and set it on a table by the fire. She nodded. "I hope so!" He giggled. "Now time for a little boy I know to get into bed." She told him. "But daddy isn't home yet..." He siad as Winry picked him up. "Daddy will be home soon." She said stroking his hair and taking him to his bed. "Maybe Santa will bring daddy home!" William said as Winry tucked him in. "Maybe." She said with a soft smile and kissed his head. "Night mommy." He said yawning and rolling over to cuddle with Angel who had jumped up onto the bed. "Night william." She said turning on his nightlight and off his room light and went to her room.

She sat in bed with Den watching out the window until she fell to sleep. At some point in the night she had taken a fussy baby Emily to bed with her to keep her calm.

"Mommy mommy!" She was startled awake by William running in for her. "What is it William?"She asked confused. "Come on! Come on mommy!" he said excitedly running out of her room. She picked up Emily and followed.

"Will wait. Where are we going?" "Saw Santa!" He said. She stopped confused. "What?" She followed to the living room. "Oh... Santa gone..." He frowned looking around. She looked at the plate of cookies. Half of them were missing. "What?" There was a knock at the door.

Before she could answer it 2 figures walked in. "Daddy!" William squealed happily running over and hugging Eds legs. Emily woke with a soft whine.

Ed picked up William and went over to winry hugging the three. "I want in to!" Al said joining the hug. Emily calmed and giggled seeing her father. "How did you get home?" Winry asked. "I don't know." Ed said. "We were told the trian wouldn't get here until tomorrow night but we got here." He smiled. "Was Santa!" William said. Ed chuckled. "Well thank you Santa!" Ed and Al said together.
