Sorry, I know I haven't been very active, but I can assure you I'm not dead.

Anyway, I'm working on the 100 themes challenge on DeviantArt, and this story is under the theme "Love". Sorry about any of the mistakes, I'm not really the kind of girl who would write about romance. Just a warning, this is a pretty short oneshot.

It was just a normal day, Luigi was standing there, stuttering in front of Daisy. He was holding flowers behind his back.

Daisy raised an eyebrow, confused. "You sure you're OK?"

"I-W-Well..." Luigi brought the flowers from behind his back, "Th-these are for you..."

"Aww, how thoughtful," Daisy said, hugging the man in green. Meanwhile, Diddy was spying from the trees. He's been meaning to do something special for Dixie. Although his idea of "love" wasn't the same as Luigi's, he wanted to do something thoughtful.

He jumped out of the trees and ran to where the Flower Fields were.

Wiggler was coming out of his house, he was looking forward to tending to his garden all of the flowers. All of the roses, sunflowers, and daisies he worked so hard on, he enjoyed them, as it would always keep him calm.

As he walked by, he noticed some of his tulips were missing. He spotted what looked like a brown, hairy worm-like creature. It practically destroyed Wiggler's tulips. The caterpillar was so mad, he had steam coming out of his ears.

The creature looked up, it turned out to be Diddy Kong. He saw Wiggler turning red with rage, he began to run as the caterpillar chased him.

"HOW DARE YOU RUIN MY GARDEN!" The caterpillar bellowed, "YOU'RE GOING TO PAY FOR THIS!"

"I'm sorry! "I'm sorry! I didn't know they were yours!" Diddy yelled.

Wiggler was gaining on him, Diddy ran as fast as he could, he ended up tripping on a tree root. He looked at Wiggler, waiting for the inevitable to happen.

Dixie was at the park, sitting near the fountain. She could see the Mushroom Children playing and laughing with joy. She wouldn't mind joining some of the Mushroom Children, but she wanted to wait for Diddy to show up.

"H-hey, Dixie..." The gorilla girl sighed, turning her head, "I was wondering when-" she was caught off guard by Diddy's appearance. His clothes were dirty, his fur was a mess, he had a black eye, his left cheek was swollen, and he could barely stand. In his hand, he held onto a dying tulip with only three pedals left.

"I-I got this for you," Diddy said, giving Dixie the flower. The ape couldn't help but hug him. "Even if you're not the perfect boyfriend, your still mine," she muttered. She took a closer look at his face, "I think we might need to get some ice, though..."

"Th-that's a g-good id-dea," Diddy stuttered, Dixie grabbed his arm and pulled it over her shoulder. She headed for Toad Town. "Let's see what Dr. Toadly has in store for us."
