Romeo climbed up a large tree, and looked out to see Magnolia. He smiled at the thought of Natsu and everyone coming back. It was obvious that he had been really happy.
The peaceful flow was interrupted when a shriek was heard in the distance. "Help me! Someone!" Romeo's ears perked up. "That voice sounds so familiar!" He thought for a moment. "Wendy."
I jumped down from the tree, and started to run where her voice was heard. Wendy appeared into view, followed by a bunch of older men. Romeo ran to her, and shielded her. "Its alright now. I'll help you."
Wendy smiled at him. "Thank you, Romeo-kun!" He looked down, and smiled back. "No problem!"
The guys who were chasing Wendy stopped when they saw Romeo. They saw a bit of blue behind him. They chuckled. "It seems like the girl got a body guard! This guy's probably weak!"
Romeo got a tick mark. "So you're the guys who were chasing Wendy?" He got into a fighting stance. "Be prepared for the worst beating of your life."
They snickered. "Yeah right. Not gonna happen. What are you going to do to stop all of us?" One of the men said cockily. Romeo smirked. "This."
He held out his hand, and a yellow flame appeared. He threw it at them.
"Oh GOD! What's this horrific stench?!" They all exclaimed, covering their noses. "It's my special yellow flame," I said with pride, "Now leave!"
They scurried away like there was no tomorrow. Romeo turned around to see Wendy bowing her head. "Thank you, Romeo-kun. Those guys chased me everywhere!" She said, being the polite girl she was.
"No, its alright! Anything for my best friend!" Romeo said, rubbing the back of his head, blushing.
"Hold on, let me give you a present as thanks!" Wendy said. Before Romeo could protest, Wendy had already run off. Romeo sighed, and sat down, waiting for her return.
Romeo waited for about 10 minutes when Wendy came running back with something in her hand. When she arrived in front of me, she presented a beautiful necklace with a blue flame.
She gave half the necklace to Romeo, and kept the other to himself. "See? Now we match!"
She put the necklace on, as did Romeo. "Wow! This is cool. Thanks Wendy!"
"Your welcome, Romeo-kun."
They started their walk back to the guild.
"We're back!" They both shouted at the same time.
They both sat at the bar, with Mira.
"Nice necklaces. Wait. You two have the other half of each other's!" Mira exclaimed.
"Oh, I saved Wendy from some dudes, and she gave me this to repay me. But, she didn't have to do it." Romeo answered. "No, I wanted to give that to you. You don't have to do anything back. After all, you did save me." Wendy said.
Romeo nodded. "Alright." They both turned their attention back to Mira, but she was already walking away, snickering. Romeo shrugged, and looked at the time. "Oh! I gotta go! Bye, Wendy!"
"Okay. Bye, Romeo-kun!" Wendy shouted.
After Romeo left, Mira approached Wendy. "Ehh? So its Romeo-kun huh?" Mira said, "Man, everyone is growing up!"
"Mira-san!" Wendy blushed.
"Aww! You're blushing! When are you going to confess?" Mira asked frantically, hoping for some answers from the poor little dragon slayer. "When did you notice your feelings?"
Wendy, with a blush, sighed and said, "Come with me, and I'll tell you."
Mira smiled, and followed Wendy to the back of the guild. Wendy looked around to see if anyone was around. She turned around, and started to spill everything.
"I liked him ever since we came back from the 7 year time skip. I started to get this feeling whenever I talked to him. His smile sends me chills that make me faint. I don't know when I'll confess though..."
Mira smiled. "That's all I needed to know. Thank you, Wendy!"
After the conversation between Matchmaker, and Dragon Slayer had ended, they both went back to their respected areas. Wendy settled down next to Natsu, Lucy, and Happy.
Mira went behind the bar, and called out to Romeo. "Hey, Romeo, come here!" He turned his attention to the bar maid. "Alright!"
Once again, I was at the back of the guild. Mira smirked evilly. Romeo backed up after seeing her devilish smirk. "Umm, is there something you want, Mira-san?"
She went straight to the point, "Do you have any romantic feelings for Wendy?"
Romeo blinked. Then, "EHHH?! How did you find out about that?! Am I that easy to read?!" Romeo bombarded Mira with questions, while blushing furiously. Mira chuckled. "I notice everything. Especially when someone is in love!"
"You should confess to her tomorrow," Mira said happily. Romeo nodded. "I was going to anyways."
"Great!"
The next day, Romeo called out Wendy. "Is there something you need, Romeo-kun?"
"Well, Wendy. Umm, we've been really close ever since you joined the guild, right?" Romeo asked, blushing.
Wendy smiled, "Of course! We're best friends, right?"
"Oh God. I don't know how to say this. You know, I'll just be blunt. Will you go out with me, Wendy?" Romeo said, with courage.
Wendy teared up, and jumped onto Romeo. "Of course I will!"
He chuckled, not feeling so afraid anymore, "I love you, Wendy."
"Me too, Romeo."
An hour later, Romeo and Wendy opened the guild doors. They were hand in hand.
At first everyone just stared, until Natsu patted Romeo's back. "Congratulations, buddy!" Lucy smiled, and hugged Wendy.
Then, everyone started shouting, "FINALLY!" and "CONGRATULATIONS!"
They partied for the rest of the day until everyone fainted.
Makarov entered the guild, expecting a rowdy welcome. "I'm back from the council meeting! Huh?"
He noticed Wendy and Romeo, hands interlocked. Then, started crying. "My Brats are growing up already."
I added Makarov at the end to add some humor. I hope that the story was improved! I'm going to rewrite the sequel to this next, and then maybe start the sequel to the one after that! Oh God, I can't wait.
