Portrait of a Young Girl

A descriptive paragraph I wrote in Grade 8 about Rika. The teacher read it out loud, and I got 100% on it, so it MUST be good! ^-^ Not bragging or anything of course… ^_^* Just read it, please? With lots and lotsa chocolate on top? And if you read, review!

A/N: well, enjoy! There IS a dictionary on ff.n now. If you don't know a word, highlight the word and hit 'd' on your keyboard.

DISCLAIMER: I do not own Digimon. I own my descriptive paragraph. You plagiarize and hand it in to YOUR teacher, I will kill you. Even if I don't know who the heck you are.

She roams through the crowds as though she were the only person in the world. Her expression tells of an irate soul, hurt buried deep inside. Nobody can quite figure out why she is old and distant, but there is obviously hurt and troubles she is keeping hidden inside. Everything about this 10-year-old screams "REBEL!", from the high ponytail to the leather jacket to the dark denim jeans. Her flame-coloured hair with golden streaks glistens as it hits the sun. Her eyes, like amethysts, glitter with the malice of one who is addicted to violence, who longs for battle constantly. Adults, repelled and maybe slightly apprehensive of this forlorn soul, distance themselves from the young girl in tight jeans, studded belt, broken heart emblem on the cobalt and chalky T-shirt, and a Walkman blaring rock music. Younger children, timorous by the tough demeanor, pull in closer to their mothers. Older children avert themselves from her like the plague, not willing to risk the acrimonious nature of their vexatious classmate. A case on her belt, stocked with cards, serve as her only implements of war in her domain: card battling. A tiny cobalt and milky computer-like device on a belt clip also hangs on her belt. She accepts help from no on and expects only perfection. Her heart, once frozen, is beginning to deliquesce, yielding to friendship. Two boys approach and she brushes past without a word. On the outside, she seems to be a regular youth, bored to death at school, like most; but there is more to her than meets the eye. She resembles a lioness: unadulterated, turbulent, and determined to win at all costs in battle. Her name is Rika.
