My first one-shot. Told in Inuyasha's POV.
I was listening to Better Than Me by Hinder when this idea came to my mind.
Is it okay to say where I got my ideas as long as I don't put in the lyrics? I read the guidelines and I think it is okay to…
Anyway, please review my first one-shot :)

I watched as Kagome walked down the aisle looking as beautiful as ever. Her white dress trailed behind her, her cheeks flushed with excitement, flowers adorned her hair. She was breath taking. I stood as Best Man at her wedding. As she made her to way the luckiest man, I remembered how I had freed her.

*FLASHBACK*

Kikyo and Kagome stood side by side. Sango, Miroku, Shippo, and Kirara stood a few feet away. Ready to either congratulate Kagome or hold her. "You've made a decision Inuyasha?" Kagome asked. I nodded. This was going to be hard to say. "Yes I have Kagome," I said as I straightened my body tense.

Kagome and Kikyo were nervous. Both very unsure because I had to admit, I wasn't acting like my usual self.

My heart raced as I began to speak. "You both are a huge part of my life. Kikyo," I faced Kikyo, "You know I love you. You were my first love. You and I were tricked by Naraku and have been battling one another for too long." Kagome began to tear up. "Kagome," I faced Kagome, "You know I love you also. It took some time but I don't see you as Kikyo's reincarnation. You have made me smile again and were kind to me even when I least deserved it." Everyone was at a loss if words.

"For all those reasons, I can't get my mind off of either of you. It wouldn't be fair if I mated one of you but still longed for the other. It is not fair to either of you. Therefore, I want you two to find someone who can devote his entire world to you. Someone who can be who you need. You both deserve better than me," I whispered the last sentence but since it was quiet, they heard me.

*End of Flashback*

Everyone had been shocked to the bone. No one said a word as Kikyo and Kagome sat in the grass looking at nothing. A year has passed and I have only seen Kikyo a few times. As the year passed, Sango got more and more upset with Miroku to the point where he wouldn't even look at her.

I watched as Kagome placed her small gloved hand into Miroku's. He kissed her hand and held it as they stood side by side. The priest went through the vows. Kagome blushed as Miroku placed the ring on her. They said 'I do' and I couldn't help but wish I was the one marrying her.

When it was time to kiss the bride I looked at the grass. I didn't want to see the love in their eyes as they kissed as husband and wife. Kagome and Miroku were happy and that was what mattered.

Okay this is my first one-shot. Good or bad? Lol.
Please review and tell me what you think! :)
