Today brought rain.

Rain, drops of all shapes and sizes, hit the windows.

If anyone looked into the windows of the house, they might see the lump of pony under the sheets of the messily disheveled bed.

The lump would quiver now and again.

Every so often, you might hear a sniffle or two. Perhaps even the familiar sounds of a distressed individual, one whom may just have been incredulous because of their situation.

A situation no one could see, yet it was a huge affair to them.

Rainbow Dash, the generally high-spirited, usually outgoing Pegasus pony, created that lump underneath the quivering covers, alone in the house.

Much like the rain outside, the Pegasus felt like one of many, falling along their redundant path, a path which had no other outcome but to hit the ground hard.

Her eyes looked up, glassy, glistening as they evaluated the outside, the picture through the window marred by the constant pattering rain. She stared.

The entire situation was all in her head, is what she thought. No one else really recognized that she was struggling. It seemed that she must be so prideful, so…so inconsiderate.

It had cost her.

A friendship…

A dignity…

Her emotional stability.

She was brought to realize how she acted had its consequences.

"Rude Rainbow," they would call her.

Names which may seem so elementary, but scarred her heart with word-knives, things that wouldn't just…go away.

She looked back down to the wall.

Is this Rainbow Dash that everyone sees? Is that the Rainbow Dash everyone thinks of her as?

Is this Rainbow, which would usually cause people to look and smile…is she just a facade?

Rainbow Dash cuddled up into a tighter ball.

Perhaps those other ponies were right.

She closed her eyes, pondering.

…"Maybe I am the rain that darkens everyone's day…"
