Randy walked up and down the locker room in a nervous frenzy. All week long his lover Cody had been sick and throwing up and barely had the energy to get up some days. Right now he was in the hospital to figure out what was wrong. He knew he should have forced Cody to go to the hospital earlier but he knew about the younger man's aversion to hospitals. However, he had snapped when Cody threw up blood earlier in the morning.

As he slowed his pace down, he saw Cody's doctor heading his way. He rushed up to him.

"How is he doc?" The apprehensive look on the doctor's face made him even more nervous than before.

"Mr. Orton, I think we should talk in private in my office." He led him and Randy into his office.

"Doc, tell me what's going on. You're scaring me. Is Cody OK? Is…Is something wrong?"

"Mr. Rhodes is fine. We found the reason for his sickness. It turns out that Mr. Rhodes is pregnant."

Randy felt the shock written all over his face. He was going to be father? How did this happen? He and Cody were always so carful! Would he be a good father? How were they supposed to raise a child with both of them always on the road?

Then a sudden thought forced him to stop thinking of all that stuff.

"Wait a minute. If it's that he's just pregnant why do you look so concerned?"

"Well, according to some tests Mr. Rhodes' pregnancy is very high risk. If he is not watched at all times, there is a chance he might lose the baby. And even if he does make it the full nine months, there is a high possibility that neither one of them will make it."

He might not make it? How am I supposed to survive without him? He's my everything.

Randy couldn't imagine a world without his boy. He made him complete and if he wasn't there who would he have?

The doctor spoke again.

"I understand that this is a lot to take in and I am very sorry about your situation. You may go see Mr. Rhodes now. He's unconscious right now because of medication but he will be fine."

Maybe it was the pained look in Randy's eyes or maybe the catatonic state he seemed to be in but the doctor gently guided him to Cody's room.

Before he knew it Randy was in his room without even knowing it. He looked at Cody. He looked so pale and fragile. He walked up to his beside and gingerly ran his hand over that sharp cheekbone. In that moment Randy realized that no matter what struggles they will face, he will be there for Cody. If it came to be that neither Cody nor the baby makes it, the world as we know it with Randall Keith Orton in it will be gone.

Because it's just as simple as this:

There is no Randal Orton without Cody Rhodes.
