Townsville Nights
Monday, 7:39 PM, Townsville Hall
Inside the mayor's office were police tapes everywhere in the crime scene. There were cops analyzing the room, others were cleaning the blood and others were gathering Mayor's dead body, which was inside of a sack.
Mrs Bellum was shocked with the happening and had some tears forming in her eyes.
Then, Townsville's best detective, Blossom Utonium, entered the room.
"Good evening, Mrs Bellum." Blossom said, standing her hand to a handshake.
"Oh good evening, Blossom." Mrs Bellum said shaking hands with her "What a tragedy, isn't it?"
"Yup, I'm going to miss that old man." Blossom said "Mrs, do you mind if I ask you some questions?" she asked "I know it's hard right now but I need to know what happened."
"I understand, but let's just get out of this room please, it's giving me goosebumps." Bellum said.
They left the room and stood on the hallway. "So, Mrs Bellum, please tell me what really happened here." Blossom asked.
"Okay hmm" she said before clearing her throat "I was in the room next to the Mayor's office, drinking my coffee, when I heard a door slaming. I thought that Mayor was just having a bad day so I ignored it, then I heard screams coming from his office and ran into its direction. When I opened the door there was only his lifeless body and blood everywhere." she them started tearing a little bit. "I'm sorry." she said before leaving the hallway, crying. Blossom only stared at her leaving with a blank face. She went back to the Mayor's office to see if she could find any clue.
The cops and her tried to check the surveillance system but it was disabled all day. What a coincidence.
The redheaded girl hadn't find any clue so she decided to head back home. When she opened the house's door she found Bubbles and Buttercup seated on the couch staring at the TV with worried expressions.
"What are you guys watching?" Blossom asked.
"M-ma-mayor's dead?!" Bubbles broke down in tears as she said this, while Buttercup just covered her mouth in shock.
"He was... murdered." Blossom said.
"And you're going to catch the murderer like you always do, right?" Buttercup asked.
"I'll try, but I don't think it'll be easy. The murderer or murderers didn't left any clue, it only looks like he stabbed them multiple times in the chest." Blossom said. Bubbles trembed a little when she heard the word stabbed.
"Well, it was a long day, I'm going to bed, you should go too." Blossom said, heading upstairs. "Hey, how's Professor?" she asked. Professor had been diagnosticated with cancer but hadn't shown any drastical effects. However, Blossom would always make sure he was okay.
"He is fine, don't worry. He is sleeping in his room. Now go get some sleep." Buttercup said, comforting Bubbles, who was still crying.
Tuesday, 11:53 AM
Blossom was heading to the Mayor's house too meet his wife, who was now a widow, to start her investigation.
She knocked her door.
"Good morning, Mrs Mayor!" she greeted.
"Oh good morning, Blossom." Mayor's wife greeted back.
"First of all, I'm really sorry for your loss, but I really gotta do my job." Blossom said.
"Don't worry, sweetie, I understand." the Mrs said.
"Let's start then." Blossom said as she and the woman sat on the couch. "Mrs, do you know anyone who would want to... harm your husband?"
"Well, actually no. My husband was a sweetheart and he was friendly to everyone. I don't know who would want to murder him." she answered.
"Do you know anyone close to him that could've done something like this?" the detective asked.
"Well ,I don't know but my husband told me a week ago about a fight he had with that Mrs Bellum. He said they really got angry with eachother."
"Did he told you what was the fight about?"
"Sadly, no. He never told me that."
"I guess I have everything I need for now, thank you so much, Mrs Mayor." Blossom said.
"Oh, you're leaving so soon? I have some cookies prepared." the woman said.
"I guess I'll take one."
After she left Mrs Mayor's house Blossom met Bubbles in a restaurant.
"Hi, Bubs! Are you felling any better?" she asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I just can't believe the Mayor is really gone. I remember when him and I used to fight over Octi. Good times." she said and then sighted. "What about you? Did you talk with Mayor's wife?"
"Yup. She said something about a fight Mayor had with Mrs Bellum."
"Mrs Bellum?! Do you think she-" Bubbles said.
"I really don't know. But she was the only one who was inside the Townsville Hall besides Mayor."
"Are you going to investigate her?" Bubbles asked.
"I have to." Blossom said.
Blossom was waving Bubbles as she was leaving the restaurant. She then pulled her phone out of her pocket and called Mrs Bellum.
"Hi!" Mrs Bellum voice was heard.
"Good afternoon, Mrs Bellum, I-" she was interrupted by Mrs Bellum voice.
"It's Bellum, I can't answer the call so please leave a message."
"Hi, Mrs Bellum, it's Blossom, I just wanted to talk to you, since we didn't talk properly last night, call me when you can." she then hang up the phone and placed it in her pocket again. She decided to head back to the Townsville Hall to see if she could find her.
She entered into the Mayor's office and immediatly felt goosebumps. "Uh, Mrs Bellum was right. This place really gives goosebumps." she said.
She stared at the room, who was full of police tapes, for a short period of time when she finally noticed a kind of ticket in the corner of the room.
"Huh? How didn't the cops see that?" she said as she picked up the ticket. It was a black ticket and had bloody red words in it. "The woman in red will be the next one to fly." she read it out loud.
"Ugh, who let kids come here." she said as she teared the ticket.
But then she received a call. It was Mitch Michelson, one of the cops who were dealing with Mayor's case.
"Mitch?!" she picked up, surprised with that call.
"Blossom, you need to come to Mrs Bellum's house right. now." he then hang up the phone. She quickly went to her car and drove to Mrs Bellum's house. There were police cars and an ambulance outside. She got off the car and went to where Mitch was.
"What the heck happened? Why are you here? Why is there an ambulance?" Blossom asked, worried and confused.
"Blossom, Mrs Bellum... is dead." Mitch said, making Blossom gasp in shock and in horror when she saw Bellum's body. There wasn't blood though, it looked like she was suffocated to death.
"We found this weird ticket in the crime scene." Mitch said, showing Blossom a ticket identical to the one she had found thirty minutes ago, in the Mayor's office.
"This is only the beggining." she read it out loud.
"This is worse than I thought." she whispered.
