Violet and Elastigirl were on the run from a killer robot that they had been battling for the past couple of days that they had been on a mission on a remote island. They had been pretty badly injured, but were still hanging in there. The robot fired a saw blade that Violet narrowly avoided, but got a nasty cut on her head from that instantly made her feel dizzy.
"Mom, I don't feel so good. I can't go on any longer." Violet said, holding her bleeding head before she fell down as the robot inched closer. Elastigirl quickly turned around in concern when she heard Violet hit the ground before she got engaged and stretched her fist into the air and slammed it down onto the robot's aiming system, blinding it before it stupidly went over to the edge and fell, breaking upon impact with several rocks.
Elastigirl watched it happen before she rushed over to Violet and saw she had fallen unconscious. Elastigirl cried at seeing her little girl this badly hurt. She picked her up and took her into a cave where she tended to her wounds. The thing that she was most worried about was a nasty cut across Violet's forehead. Elastigirl then got an idea. She wrapped bandages around Violet's head and put little horns made of bandage tissue in a circle on it to simulate a crown. She smiled at her daughter before she said, "Mommy loves you, sweetie. Good night, and have sweet dreams." She then tended to her own wounds and went to bed.
The next morning, Violet awoke with a monster headache, but the rest of her was feeling okay. She looked and smiled at seeing that Elastigirl was okay and bandaged.
"Hey, Mom, wake up." she said.
Elastigirl stirred for a bit before she awoke. She smiled at seeing Violet awake, "Good morning, sweetie." she said.
Violet asked, "Are you all right?"
Elastigirl nodded before she pointed to her own head. Violet looked puzzled before she pulled out a mirror and gasped at seeing that her mom had put some flowers among a crown made of bandages.
"I knew you would probably feel bad about losing to that robot, so I wanted to surprise you with that to cheer you up." Elastigirl said with a smile.
Violet had tears of joy going down her face as she smiled widely at her mom and said, "Mom, you are the absolute greatest. I don't know what I'd do without you." bringing tears to Elastigirl's eyes as well before she crawled over and the two of them shared a hug.
"I love you so much, Mom." Violet said.
"I love you too, My Little Princess." Elastigirl said before she kissed Violet on the forehead below the crown, making her smile wider.
