Bloody Roar III: Rescued
Surrounded by ominous shadows
Cloaked in suffocating darkness
Days of being unaware of happenings
Nights filled with trailing victims.
Horrified screams ring in my ears
Pained expressions haunting my consciousness
I am tagged with a youthful status
Yet am undeserving of such prosperity.
Trapped in a deep, seductive abyss
My mind continues descending
Conscientious thoughts are overpowered
Being replaced by a sinister being.
Then the unexpected happened
One encounter, just one, changed me
Turned everything around, shedding light
Hope taking on the form of a slender figure.
Thin strands of long auburn hair
Gathering into a braid, bound by a cute bow
Dangling freely around a slim waist
Enticing curves unintentionally catching my eyes.
Eyes… light brown pupils of compassion
Generosity and care also lingering
Emitting heart-felt emotion from inside
Beckoning, and drawing me to her.
I brandish a cool, unwavering shield
My exterior masking emotions and feelings
She pays no heed to the barrier
And instead slowly breaks it down.
One person changed everything
Rescued me from further atrocity
We discovered out shared past
And I want her to be in my future.
I once thought I would always stay the same
Be reclusive, hide in a shell
But with a smile she took my hand
Kept a firm hold as she took me out.
My heart beats for her
Pointing in her direction
Highlighting the elegant angel
Warmth floods me at the sight
Once my dearest best friend
Now the one I long for
She has brought so much to me
Riko… I saw that with feeling
My ally
My best friend
My soul-mate
My Riko…
The End
Author's Note:
Hey, another poem! Yeah, I know I suck at poetry and all, but I just couldn't resist; I was feeling way too bored in Silent Sustained Reading at school, hehe… This poem took me just twenty minutes to write so that may be another reason why it's not good. But oh well! Hope you readers still enjoyed reading this poem; it's in the timeline of my Bloody Roar III story, around Chapter 9 when Kenji was thinking of proposing to Uriko! *grins* Please leave a review/feedback if you have the time and keep an eye out for more Bloopers and Chapter 1 of my sequel! With love for my fans,
