Little Sacrifices
Naomi approached holding two cardboard cups and Emily smiled gratefully, relieved that Naomi hadn't decided to bring anyone else. The smile almost slipped though, when she saw what Naomi had brought with her. Coffee. Emily couldn't stand the stuff. She didn't like the smell, the taste, and the fact that if she drinks even one cup after two in the afternoon she can never sleep that night.
But when she thinks about it later on, Emily knows it's worth the sleep lost, because Naomi had let her kiss her goodbye, and waited until Emily turned the corner before leaving herself.
