„Would you stop that?"

Silence. Hell, that… brat… whatever he was supposed to call a guy that was, in human years, about his age yet behaved like a three-year-old at the moment… was still following him.

"No." Spoken with… determination?… was too weak a word to describe it. "I won't let you go! Not until you've answered my question."

Ikkaku sighed. "I already have, you know?" Had it been anyone else (well, besides Yumi, but that was different) he would have called it a day and just ended the babbling or went home. But with Keigo, it was slightly different, and he could not tell why. The guy was annoying to no end, and yet the bald man was totally unable to just make him shut up the hard way. And going home… well, at the moment he was living in Keigo's house. He couldn't throw the boy out of it.

"No, you haven't! You haven't said anything at all! You just walk around and do stuff and don't answer and that is really, really mean! Why don't you talk to me?"

'Because it's a hassle. Because you're damn annoying and I should just knock you into coma to make you shut up and grant me some minutes of peace. Because…' He sighed and got up again, walking from the dining to the living room.

He knew that Keigo would follow. But, well, there was worse company.

Although he wasn't quite sure, who that was supposed to be.

"Ikkaku…"

"Hm?"

"Answer my question, really! Why did you say you'd protect me?"
