I was planning on doing angst. Huge emo angst with fighting and emotional turmoil and instead I got fluff. They're OOC and happy and goddamn fluffy. Beware!

Stefan knows that no matter where he goes, Damon will find him. He doesn't know if it's because they're brothers or it's because they're vampires or even if it's a combination of the two. Damon always shows up in the town he's staying in and he wreaks havoc until Stefan leaves and finds another town; then the process will start all over again.

He's lying in bed when he hears the tapping on the window; Stefan smothers a smile and ignores it, knowing it's Damon wanting in. The tapping stops after a few minutes and then he hears the door slam.

"You knows it's pouring rain outside and these are designer shoes." Damon starts pulling at his clothes and Stefan looks at him over his pillow, which has somehow ended up at the foot of his bed.

It's both a blessing and a curse knowing his brother will follow him to the end of the world. No matter what town they find themselves in, it'll be brimming with chaos until they leave, but Stefan will always have his brother near him. Damon will always be there. He'll always be looking out for him.

"Are you listening to me, Stefan?" Damon mock glares at him and Stefan can't hide the grin spreading over his face.

"I'm glad you're here, Damon." This will change tomorrow morning when Damon starts messing with the townspeople again, but for now, Stefan will smile and enjoy Damon's obvious discomfort.

"Yeah, right. What are you planning?" Damon turns, but Stefan sees his lips tilting upwards.

Stefan just sighs, content, and lays his head back down on the pillow, his eyes closed. A few moments later, the bed dips down and Damon lays beside him, pushing against Stefan as he two buries himself under the mound of covers.

"I'm glad you're here too, Stefan." Damon brushes his fingers against Stefan's forehead before he too lays his head down.

They let the afternoon drift away that way, ignoring the world outside, and just like that, everything is right again.
