Alex's parents especially Mrs. Russo have become concerned that their daughter's use and abuse of magic needs to be nipped in the bud, but none of their punishments seem to affect her behavior. Now as she turns eighteen next week perhaps it's time to brighten Alex's horizons in a new effort to turn her into a bright young lady. Read and review.

Alex was just your typical teen girl with shoulder length light brown hair and a pretty developing bottom and top. However, a closer look at Alex Russo who was about to turn eighteen showed a mischievous, free spirited, somewhat brat who did not give her best in school and was known to use magic in disastrous ways. These were the characteristics that concerned her mother the most. Her Antics seemed to go right over her husband Jerry's head, but Theresa knew the reigns needed to be pulled in on her wild filly daughter. Being a parent wasn't always fun, but it was her duty in life to turn the scattered teen into a bright thinking young lady. The problem was the usual punishments given by her and her father had failed miserably to change her behavior patterns.

Waverly Place seemed to be a place the seventeen girl, Alex could wave her butt in the air and fear no real consequence that she was truly afraid of as a consequence.

"Over the years Alex I have tried without success to change your behavior and though I have given it a gallant effort I have failed."

"Well mom, don't feel bad you've tried I'm just a free spirited girl who gets into mischief and a sticky situation from time to time."

"ALEX, that is going to change next week if you want to stay in Waverly Place."

"What, um what are you talking about? You just said your punishing me doesn't work!"

"It's time to back to basics, young lady." Theresa Russo told her daughter.

"Huh, what are you going to do to me?" Alex said now sounding worried.

Mrs. Russo pondered whether it was finally time to brighten Alex's horizons.
